720p 30fps would be more than enough, if you want it for proof on something,
But if you're Russian, get 4 dash cams, one on each side, don't miss a thing!!

At the size it is and the distance you sit from it, I doubt there would be much visible difference between 720p and 1080p, so I would get the 60 FPS one.

I'm not sure if anyone in this thread is serious or not yet but still frames are enough to get convictions, 30 fps would be more than enough, and with the much higher clarity of 1080p, you could see license plates, expressions, etc
15fps 1080p would even be enough in most cases.
So get the 30fps one

I take it you don't watch any TV, movies, cartoons or anime then. It's almost all 24 or 30 FPS, and even "high frame rate" movies are only 48 FPS.

Good point -- so long as the lower framerate doesn't cause motion blur that makes fast-moving things even less clear than 720p at 60 FPS.

The res wouldn't matter I'd be more interested in the bit rate of either. If both have a shitty bit rate I'm just choosing whether I want 1 good photo and 29 that look like garbage or 1 good photo and 59 that look like garbage.
