Does anyone regret buying a big phone?

Pretty much anything with a 4.5+" screen seems to be hard to use with a single hand.
So does everyone just use them with both hands?
>>
Well, I own an oppo find 7a (5.5") and regret nothing. And I'm using it with one hand normally, but with two if I need to type faster or when I'm using it in the landscape orientation.
>>
>>47576369
No. I read webpages in the browser sometimes.
>>
>>47576369
5.5 inches.. I regret nothing. I'll never buy smaller
>>
So you just use them with two hands?
That sounds cumbersome.
>>
Yeah I used to have a 5.5" Note and it was clumsy as shit to use

4.7-5.2 is ideal
>>
>>47576397
I have fingers I use to reverse pinch. I also have a "reader" button
>>
Around 5" is perfect for me
>>
5.7" inch here, the Note 3 is great for reading and the stylus is useful to have. But it's slightly cumbersome.

Do i regret it? nope, but my next phone will be around 5.2 inch or less.
>>
>>47576837
Note 3 reporting in.
It's just slightly too big. I love having the big screen but sometimes the stretch is too much. I think 5.2 to 5.5" would be ideal.
>>
4.3" Desire HD was perfect.
4.7" Nexus 4 was a tiny bit too big.
5.7" Note 4 is great too because it has so many tools that make use of its size but also ones that make one handed use a breeze such as multi window, floating windows, screen shrinking, pinning the keyboard to one Side of the screen and a movable onscreen bar for the dedicated buttons.
>>
>>47576864
I get you man, i used a few G3's and they were much easier to handle.

I might wait and see how the LG G4 turns out, might purchase it when the price hits the dirt in a couple of years.
>>
>>47576369
I have a Z3 Compact because i am not a moron who buys giant phones.
>>
>>47577385
No, you're a moron who buys Sony phones.
>>
>>47577392
Z3 and Z3 Compact are pretty much the two best phones of 2014.
>>
Had a galaxy note 3. Sold it because it was tot big. Try getting it of your pocket while driving...

4.5 inch is perfect
>>
4.3" is just about right

A slightly bigger screen would be nice but I can just hold the phone an inch closer to get the same overall effect of a bigger screen without it being harder to hold in the hand and bigger in the pocket
>>
I don't trust phones that are bigger than my dick.
>>
5.5" iPhone 6+ here, no regrets whatsoever. I feel bad for people who have to survive on 4" screens, when 5 is so much better when you get used to it. Only downside is the phone is somewhat slippery and I have dropped it probably 3 times since purchase

There's good reasons sony is going out of the business. And making phones with high failure rates is one of them.
>>
>>47576369
I've got the galaxy note 4. The screen is big as hell but I don't really have any issues with it. I would say I do use 2 hands more then one but when I drop down to 1 its still more then useable. Found out recently with these phones you can activate a 1 hand mode which makes the screen smaller. Never used it but it's there if you want it.

No, the only thing I regret is that there isn't a legitimate high end tablet that you can make phone calls on

My OnePlus is awesome, but it's still just a phone
>>
I own a Note 4 so it's not really a problem for me because if and when I'm handling too many shit and can't properly use the screen there's an option to basically halve the screen with a single swipe so I do that. Not a problem at all and I enjoy the bigger screen very much, especially whilst watching movies and shit on QHD. I can't imagine life on an iPhone 4 or 5, shit is ridiculously small.

I have an one plus one and its just perfect in my hand. Other p

hones seem so small in my hand now, like a toy
>>
>>47576369
I use my Note 3 with both hands and usually the stylus.
But I prefer it that way, I'm not a phonaholic so I only use it when not doing other things.

What I don't like is how it feels in my trouser pocket.
>>
>>47576369
It might depend on THE SIZE OF YOUR HANDS, no? manlet.
Also bezels I guess.. My g2 (5,2inch) is perfect for one hand use, for me.
>>
yo, question for everyone with big phones. where do you put it when you go outside it's uncomfortable in pants pockets and looks like shit. do you guys all carry handbags?
>>
>>47578434
I'm only 5'8" and my N5 is fine with one hand. My dick is 6.5" though.
>>
>>47578449
Try not wearing skinny jeans faggot, 5 inch is nothing.
>>
>>47578449
I just put it in my front pants pockets? Are you a woman or something?
>>
>>47578449
It's really not an issue unless you're a hipster and wear those tiny jeans with tiny pockets or you're a manlet and wear weird jeans. The pockets are pretty much always big enough.
>>
I have a galaxy note 4 and it was without a doubt the best phone choice I have ever made.
>>
>>47578449

Front pants pocket, have to check to makes sure it's there sometimes, what kind of pantaloons are you wearing?
>>
>>47578496
>Pantaloons
>>
>>47578496
normal levis pantaloons, like the most basic pants you can get.
>>
>>47578449
Ignore the trolls.

It is uncomfortable in regular pants/jeans when sitting down, cycling, whatever.
So unless you commute by segway it is an issue.

I usually put it in my jacket or shirt pocket.
>>
I like my Note 2. Only thing I did to make it workable with one hand is install Pie Controls. I might go for a smaller phone like Sony's Compact series if I get a stylus for my convertible laptop because I don't see too many benefits of a big screen besides webpages, video viewing, and taking notes.

No, and even if I did, there is a neat feature on the note 4 to deal with it. It comes in handy at times. Saves battery too (e.g..in bed.)

It literally takes just two swipes and you can enlarge or minimize it to your liking.

>>
Have a nexus 5, before had a galaxy nexus, the 5 is 5 inches and the galaxy is I think 4,7, would really prefer <5 screens to be more popular
Not that big hands to use 5+ inches comfortably
>>
>>47578869

That's simply untrue, my wallet is more noticeable, how are you wearing your pants/jeans, over your hips or something? Do you have really short thighs? What gives?
>>
>>47576369
>regret buying
>not being 100% sure in your decision
>not testing shit out

people like this are cancer of this world
>>
>>47578982
It's becasue my thigh muscle is round and the phone is flat.
So I get a pressure point in the middle of the phone while the corners press the other way against the fabric.
A slight curve would have fixed the issue.

My wallet is about the same size, but because it's soft it's not as uncomfortable.
>>
Opo at 5.5 and I don't regret. I will even consider 5.9 for my next phone
>>
>>47578888
>I don't see too many benefits of a big screen besides webpages, video viewing, and taking notes.

Doesn't that make up 95% of what most people do with their phone?
>>
using am Motorola turbo
5.5"
I find this perfect for the hand and the eye.
>>
I need to go outside and actually try some of them out
>>
>>47579031
Lose weight fatty.
>>
>>47579147
It's muscle.

If my legs were fat it wouldn't be a problem becasue fat is soft.

I suppose I wrongly assumed everybody has muscular legs, because I live in Amsterdam where everybody always cycles everywhere.
But I suppose when you have weak legs a big phone isn't a problem.
>>
>>47576369
I use a note 4 with one hand. Stop being a manlet.
>>
>>47576369
Anything above 4" isn't a phone, but useless garbage and you're better off with a tablet, which is also useless garbage and you'd be better off with a mini Thinkpad then.
>watching movies on a phone
I kek internally everytime I see this, reminds me of pic related
>>
>>47579209
>i'm not fat guise i swear it's all muscle
>you don't believe me? I live in amsterdam so everybody cycles everywhere (me too get it?)
>you gotta believe me guise I swear it y-you're all weak and fat
lel stay fat
>>
>>47576369
I miss my xperia Z Ultra. That phone was based as fuck, it was going for $400 when similar specced phones were $800.
>>
>>47579297
>not watching porn on the go or every time you go to the bathroom
It's like you want to be sexually repressed

Also it depends on what you do on your phone and how often you use it. If you don't use it much, just get a tiny 4" phone. Otherwise enjoy superior screen size with QHD and high PPI with extensive tone/contrast control.
>>
>>47579209

lol, I can overhead press 275 pounds and dunk a basketball, my legs more than likely make yours look like twigs, you just wear skinnier jeans/pants if your phone is uncomfortable

I imagine it's a difference in cut of regular jeans/pants in Amsterdam vs. Dallas

It was mean of that guy to call you a fatty though, I understand why you got defensive
>>
got an OPO (5.5 size) and it's fine for me. I have fucking manlet hands too.

>>47579337
>watching porn on the way to the bathroom
What kind of disgusting hick are you. People take shit in there

>>47576369
I have a BlackBerry Passport (fuck off, don't need commentary) and it's 4.5" 1:1 (it's a big phone). It fits in my pants fine, and is okay to use one hands unless you need to type more than a few words, but I just find it clumsy and awkward. The big screen is nice, but not really worth it.

captcha: regret
>>
>>47579349
Again: Fatmericans won't have this problem because of all the blubber distributing the load.

Hard straight phone against hard curved muscle is always uncomfortable, even in loose clothing.
>>
>>47579431
Honestly I don't know what BB execs were smoking when they greenlighted the Passport. It's even worse than not having a qwerty at all. Phone costs a shitton and yet its retarded design isn't good for any use at all.
>>
>>47579367
Why did you buy an OPO, you do realize there's literally a backdoor in the firmware right? And you have impractical SD limitations, on low quality specs. Was it because it was cheap? It's how they get you into the botnet.

There was a PDF report of Chinese rootkits on OPO phones as well but I can't find a link because it was on a cryptic hacking forum nobody's heard of. Expect the news to surface soon though. Anyway, enjoy your Chinese botnet Xiaomi/ZTE/Huawei fags.:

My first smartphone was the Galaxy Note N7000 and it was a beast, my only regret resides in the fact that it was a samshit device. By now i'll get on with another brand.
The phone itself broke and Samsung took 5 months and 2 lawyers to get it fixed for me. I sold it right after.
5" is the ideal size.
>>

>>
>>47576369
I got the nexus 6 and the only thing I regret is the fact that I was born.... With small hands. I love the phone and the screen size but I'm going to have to jump to another phone soon because while trying my best to use it with 1 hand I nearly drop it every time. Thinking of going to s6 or s6 edge
>>
I use my 5,5 inch phone (OnePlus One) with one hand. Just let it slide through your hand to pull down the SB.
>>
>>47576369
I thought it might be awkward with a note 3 but I really wanted the stylus, so I bit the bullet, and after a while you just end up holding it differently, instead of the corner hold you hold it from the side
>>
>>47576369
I use my OPO one handed 99% of the time, white male averageish hands. Do you just have small baby girl hands or something?

I sold it 1 week after for a quarter the price and brought a Moto G.
