adblocks + chrome are history plebs

>chrome
And nothing of value was lost.
>chrome
People still use this?
wait, there are people who still use chrome in 2015????
Google only allows jewish adblockers which they can pay off
>>47520519
who cares, gorhill is using chropera anyway.. probably he will just ditch chrome store update and move on.
>>47520519
Why not Firefox?
>>47520519
2015
>using chrome botnet
developers should NOT support such softwares and let its users drown in shit.
>>47520662
/thread <3
>>47520662
The shitposters are in full force. Chromium is free software, by the way. surf is also based on WebKit.
>>47520519
Good ridance, fuck ABE too.
ABP for life.
IM CALLING IT NOW THAT THAT FUCKONG MONEY HUNGRY KIKE MACFAG HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THIS.
CALLING IT.
Google is bad
IE support when?
>>47520675
First know the difference between Chromium and Google. It uses Google's app store for extension support, which is in fact, not free and owned by google and OP's topic is the prime example of it and its abuse of power. If it was free as in freedom, this thread would never exist.
>>47520716
You do not rely on Chromium store to install extensions. You have the choice to install extensions from external sources.
Also, services are not free or nonfree, they have other issues.[1]

Nice try Chris you hook-nosed curly haired fuck.
Hitler should have been less of a pussy and gassed all of you cunts.
>>47520745
spot a jew
Looks like an adblocker that actually blocks ads and not hides them like abp does was getting too popular for google.
>>47520745
Go away, schlomo, we don't need any more kikes around here
You'd have to be a complete fucktard to use Chrome as your main browser.
>>47520587
Não digas asneiras Chrome é o browser mais usado.
>>47520850
why there is no gentoobrowser or GNUBrowser?
>>47520745
Fucking kike.

Highly fucking unlikely. Google is known for this shit.
>>47520966
>>47521103
yeah chris is a greedyfag but this is coming from google side.
>>47520519
why do people even use this shit? it doesn't even block ads
>>47521215
utorrent nostalgia
>>47520519
Just as ABE announced that it was closing shop...
>>47520830
It's the opposite, ABP is the one who actually hides ads.
Do people actually have chrome installed on their own computers for personal use?

lol idgaf
Can we go one day just one fucking day without ublock drama.
>>47521840
Nothing wrong with anything there.
>>47521969
The extension is a looming threat to some of the largest companies on earth. The WSJ just did a write up on threat ad-blockers pose.
This one can't be bought.
That is a phenomena ABP is only too happy to exploit for their benefit.
So, the answer is likely no.
>>47522335
>This one can't be bought.
Why not?
Google finally figured out uHide was a scam.
One further step in getting these fucking paid ad company scam artists out of the business world forever and having to "advertise" for spare change on the fucking street.
>>47522366
Gorhill mentioned recently there have been solicitations.
>>47522394
Where did he mention this?
>dat new logo
ugliest thing i've ever seen
>>47520743
>GNU philosophy
>ever
This is what's wrong with our world.
Reminder that Mozilla will soon have complete control over add-ons for Firefox like Google does for Chrome, and they can do the same.
And reminder that anyway, gorhill's uBlock has not been submitted to AMO and thus the xpis in gorhill's repo won't work in the future unless gorhill submits it.
>>47522368
>Desperate Adblock Plus dev is desperate
go fuck yourself
>>47523582
gorhill should consider making a real port to Pale Moon and Seamonkey, ublock works there but the icon doesnt show up and thats a big problem for a few features
>>47520745
oy vey.
gorhill's ublock is now called uBlock Origin
>>47523797
That works.
>>47523797
Good name.
Logo looks like shit.
>>47523797
How many name changes so far?
>>47523998
µBlock --> uBlock --> uBlock0 --> uBlock Origin
>>47523998
Technically, just one as it was pretty much styled as uBlock Origin from the get go.
>>47520830
I thought it was the other way around.
>>47521823
nice
>>47520519
So now that Chrome kicked out Gorhill.
Does that mean Gorhill can completely focus on Firefox only now?
>>47524379
Well in the meantime, we need to light Google on fire.
Man I'd post this shit to hackernews but that site is filled with google employees and it would never make the front page.
>>47524553
Someone posted on the /r/chrome subreddit. Don't want to link it here as it might get it taken down.
>>47524461
>Well in the meantime, we need to light Google on firefox.
FTFY
>>47524379
No, you can still install 3rd party extensions on Chromium, Canary, and the other branches.
Fuck off FFag, just switch to Chrome already.
>m-m-muh botnet
nerd
>>47521823
Your connection is terrible
>meanwhile me using ABP
>>47524658
>Fuck off FFag, just switch to my shitty botnet already!
>Botnets are great! Everyone loves the shitty botnet browser!
Fuck off
So what happens to the browsers that have them installed.? Mine is still there, and looks like its working.
>>47524676
>muh botnet
Fuck off nerd, literally only paranoid fucks give a fuck about that shit.
If you use the internet and browse public sites just give up and privacy.
>>47524675
>mfw using both of them at the same time
>>47520716
Chromium uses GApp store as a matter of convenience. Nobody is locked into using it exclusively. Everyone is allowed to modify Chromium to point to a different app store should a different one exist. You don't even need an app store, you can just download the extensions you need straight from the website.
All you double standard anti-chrome faggots, i bet you idiots use Gmail, Android, and if presented the option would offer all of your cash and your virginity for Google Fiber.
>>47524687
Google uses your geodata to send their goons to your home and confiscate any Google TOS-violating contraband. They'll also log your keys in Chrome and compare it to their archived profile of your computer usage habits to determine when it's most likely that you're taking a dump, so they'll swoop in when nature's calling and you'll have no chance to do anything about it.
>>47524687
you will have to manually update it here. 0.9.4.2 was just released
https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/tree/master/dist#install
>>47524696
>only paranoid fucks give a fuck about that shit
mfw anon makes that comment in a thread devoted to a privacy extension
>>47520587
What browser should I use then?
>>47524798
Ok thanks anon.
>>47524814
>privacy extension
Wrong, it's for getting rid of ads, which is a visual nuisance.
>>47524869
Keep digging that hole. You're in pretty deep.
>>47524869
No, I wouldn't give a shit about ads if all they did was clutter up the page. It's the endless tide of tracking cookies and scripts that come with them that I use an ad blocker for. I don't want to be tracked across every site I visit by fifty different companies.
>>47520519
I wonder who could be behind this
We blue now.
>>47525013
It color coordinates with the power button.
