That's a terrible CRT, if you want to use a CRT get a large aperture grille. One of the best CRTs out there is the Sony GDM-FW900, go and check that out.

It's actually quite hard to find the right things to put on one's desk/work area, that say the right things, and set the right moods.
The goal is to feel comfortable, but that means different things to everyone.
I started by putting a book or two I intended to read on my desk.
Also, and this is a bit weird, but when I worked a cubicle gig, I would frame little 3x5 pieces of colored card stock, usually warm sunny colors on my right, cooler colors on my left.
Only like two or three, but they broke up that soul-crushing grey so well, without really meaning anything.

Should have two matching size monitors later this week. I just need my new dual monitor mount. I'm in love with my Xstar 1440p and it's even replaced my 120hz 27" temporarily as my main monitor. I've already got my active DVI to Display Port adapter (amd gpu) and I hope it fixes the issue with only having one DVI-Dual Link ports on my GPU.
