It's a "fork", but he is the original dev and put way more effort into it than Chris. He's happy to work on the code while letting Chris do marketing, communication and ports.
Communication doesn't seem to be gorhill's strongest suit, but he is a great coder. To Chris's credit, he seems to be able to deal with the mixed signals rather well and accomodate gorhill.
