I'm getting tired of reconfiguring poweramp every two weeks and everything else i've come across is shit.

What do you use /g/?

Shuttle has a nice design and ID3 tag editor. Not too expensive and the free version has everything you need if you don't want to pay.
>>
Google Play Music.

It's honestly great. I never have to fuck around with buying, pirating, ripping, or copying anything, and I never have to worry about storage capacity when choosing a phone or tablet.
>>
>>47327303
Google shill here. You can store 50,000 songs.

I uploaded 15k and have over 120 days worth of music I can access from any computer with chrome.
>>
>>47327276
Tried it, too bloated and doesn't let me sort by folder structure.

Fuck outta here with that botnet shit.

GoneMad Music Player if you're looking for another power user app. Material design is finally out of beta and I preferred it to Power Amp before then anyway.

If you want something simple then shuttle.
>>
>>47328498

>too lazy

Or maybe I want to shop for a phone without being autistic enough to limit myself to models with SD card slots because I insist on 100% locally-stored content.

Maybe I want a god damn terabyte of space available to me at all times, across devices. Maybe that's fucking awesome, and allows me to push the boundaries of computing further than ever before.

Ever think of that?

I just use an old phonograph my dad gave me.

Why would I stream from my NAS if GPM works better?
>>
>>47328687
>locked down service works better than one you control

Wut. That sounds lik PEBKAC. GPM will transcode everything you have into 320. Yes, even stuff less than 320. Plus it handles tags pretty terribly especially when it comes to properly including art and artist pictures. And it's MP3 and not OGG. At least Spotify does OGG whic h makes way more sense on a mobile device.
>>
I use Sensor Music Player. The equalizer is awesome enough to tolerate rest of the shit.

>i don't want to actually own my media instead i want to entrust it to skynet and only have access to it when my device is bleeding data over insecure and compromised mobile networks, assuming i even have a signal in the first place.

God damn this board has gone to shit, Jesus fucking Christ.
>>
how do you niggers shuffle the music? I just want to have "Not Heard Recently" autoplaylist. Is that so fucking hard? Even fucking wangblows media player have it since XP. Why is this basic functionality isn't covered in all players?
Does any droid player have that?
>>
The only music player that doesn't have broken gapless audio for me is PowerAMP. Honestly just better to not play music on my phone at all.

It sounds like I don't like having 10 hard drives spinning while I'm at work.

This is true, but it often finds better album art scans than what's available anywhere else. Don't give two shits about artist pictures.

>At least Spotify does OGG whic h makes way more sense on a mobile device.
You got me there. Unfortunately, I don't support their business model (same reason I'm not paying for GPM's subscription service).

Why would you pay for an app but that app is shuttle?

If you're in the pay range get something way better like Gone Mad or Power Amp.
>>
>>47328792

Owning is overrated.

So I have a CD. So fucking what? What am I gonna do, carry it around? It's just gonna sit on my shelf and take up space after I'm done ripping it.

Legit MP3s? Who does that? Why pay for what's free on a different site? And, really, for the price of ten $0.99 songs per month, I can stream whatever I want at a moment's notice, wherever I am, no preparation required. You just can't do that with a local collection.

And, again, the desire to carry all your music around like the Asperger King you are limits your choice of phone, as well as costing you extra money in the form of SD cards.

Locally-stored music sucks. Deal with it.

Some of us aren't retarded when it comes to music formats you know.
Just because you use a shitty codec at a space wasting setting doesn't mean everyone does.

What about owning FLACs to support artists?

>>47328912
What? An album is good because it's consistent. An album is only the best shit ever when it's godtier every song.

I'm sorry you haven't heard much good music.

As a general rule of thumb, if you're 'supporting' any non-indie band by buying anything other than merch or concert tickets, I've got bad news for you.

Why should I care about file size when I have 40TB at my disposal?
>>
>>47329031
Why would you use a lossy audio codec if space is not an issue?
That's the entire reason to use lossy audio.
