A OnePlus One is ~$300 , a Mi4 ~$370.
You can get other 3GB RAM phones for a bit less than $200 now, though.
I guess you could already call them not flagships anymore.

The LG G Flex 2 does look like my ideal phone, the main issue I have is that it probably won't have a good custom rom community seeing as it's a niche device.

Uh I don't know, supposedly google is pushing big time for usb-c as the port on all new android phones really soon, like they want to do the next Nexus with for sure.

I've had my Nexus 5 since the phone launched and my battery life will last around a day with a lot of use.
My girlfriend has an S4 that she needs to charge 2-3 times a day
LG G2 master race reporting in. I had optical image stabilization and 4k recording back in 2013. Battery life is amazing as usual. I usually get two full days on a charge with light use. I've gotten over four and a half days on standby.
I'm actually hesitant on getting a new at the end of the year. All these 5.5+ inch phones are too big and get worse battery life. I really hope the G4 isn't any bigger then the G3 and doesn't have the reported 3k display. 1080p is all we need on phones now and in the future. 5.2" is comfortable but a 5" with a proportional body shrink would be absolutely ideal though.
