Yeah, but it's missing adress bar which is pretty important in file manager. From my short experience with OSX Finder was painful to use and I don't mind using new software as long as it's not crippled.

You can directly navigate to a location of the path by clicking on it.

Only copy and pasting paths as text is a bit more complicated:

It's in a "slow development phase" if that's what you mean.

I don't know. That's why I asked about pcmanfm. Two people mentioned it and no one mentioned spacefm. I use spacefm so it made me wonder what the deal was.
>>
>>47148542
To copy/paste the path, just drag the folder icon at the top (next to the window/folder title) into where you want to past the path.

Sure is pleb today.
My favorite with a gui is thunar, but I'm thinking of using pcmanfm since it uses less disk space.
Is tabbed explorer on Windows a lost cause? Don't like how clover isn't integrated into explorer, and qttabbar is just intrusive.

I use Explorer++ too and it's good for day to day use but if you have a directory with a lot of images and want thumbnails, shit slows down like a motherfucker and I've had it lock up on me a couple times.

I wish Windows had at least one good file manager. I've yet to use a single good one.
>>
>>47148524
This anon gets it. I think ACDSee pre 3.0 was the only file manager on Windows that correctly used ".." as "move up a directory." I love being able to navigate an entire file tree using only the keyboard. (2.2x has a bug with file size/free space calculation for large copies, but... holy shit, thanks, Anon, it still works on 64-bit 7)

Long as I'm walking down memory lane, Vern Buerg's LIST.COM was my go-to in the DOS days, and that ain't gonna work on x64. Still kinda miss it when I'm on a Windows box without Cygwin. Now I wanna give the rebooted/replacement ZBLIST done in his memory a try.

I tried using xfm. Pic related, it's old.
even used mwm as my window manager for a while, was going for the old-school Unix feeling

I ended up just using xfm as an application launcher and using thunar for everything else. Had a nice Motif-style GTK theme so it'd look right too.
