Not pictured: my 0.5mm pencil, it's out picking up bitches for me.
I have both, more .5mm. I rarely handwrite anything any more and couldn't even tell you what I last wrote with by hand. Usually it's something that I found on the floor just before the class where I knew I would need one because I didn't have anything in my bag. I've ended up with a pretty large collection that I've been giving away, especially when a professor does not have enough #2 pencils for a scantron test.
I find that .9 mm doesn't have adequate stopping power

Mechanical pencils aren't a gimmick though. They really are better. The only time a traditional pencil can even compete is when drawing, and even then, I prefer the continence of a mechanical pencil.
what is a nice super small tip metallic pen , lamy has very nice nes but they are still verythick when it comes to actual writing , i know there is a pen somewhere that caters to my autistic needs
