Well, I bought a bunch of fucking small moniters in a lot on ebay I am going to purchase usb to vga adapters, velcro the moniters to my wall then put diffrent pictures of hentai and porn on each small screen for jacking off.
>>
>>47029284
Cool. Keep us updated
>>
>>47029284

I'm mildly interested, what kind of monitors did you get?

this hp ep-c. I bought it because it was cute, back then small computers weren't popular at all.
Photo does not show how small it is.
>>
>>47030748
i'm sure op has thought this through and gotten vga to composite encoders as well, or plans to modify the screens to take vga input directly if possible
>>

I have a Pentium 4 2.8 GHz with 1 GB of RAM and 80 GB of SATA 1.5 HDD that I fuck around with occasionally.

But these days, having lived in the world of SSDs for so long, even fucking around on that pentium seems like a chore.
>>
>>47030791
post it with a pen or something for comparison
>>
>>47030975
i don't have it anymore, it isn't even my photo - mine wasn't as dirty.
But i believe CD on top of computers is pretty good comparsion.
>>
>>47030975
how about a cd, like the one sitting on top of them?
>>
>>47030948
put an ssd in it, then, faggot

won't even be out of the way since it's already got sata ports
>>
I have a Shuttle with an Athlon XP that hasn't been connected to the internet in 10 years at least. And because of that it still runs nice and fast.

I also have an Optiplex 745 I got for $1 with a spare laptop hard drive installed into it with zip ties because the original caddies are gone. Works OK as a garage PC and I also use it for testing TVs.
>>
I've got 2 old Dell Dimensions and some HP business line model.
No idea what to do with them.
Was thinking about a small NAS, but what the fuck do I have to store?

A 2005 dell dimension is my primary machine.

>Windows Vista
>Based AMD Athlon64 X2 3600+
>160 GB hard drive BUT 4 TB's of attached storage
>5GB of RAM I swiped off of other shitboxes, trying to get it up to 8
>looking into getting some shitty grafix card to put in there as well

It will never die.
>>
>>47031232
Does it have agp or pcie? Doesnt vista only support up to like 6 gbs of ram?
>>
>>47029082
Enjoy wasting energy with that Pentium 4 HT processor.
>>
>>47031277
I think it's actually conventional PCI.

>Doesnt vista only support up to like 6 gbs of ram?

Doubt it
>>
>>47031362
an AM2 board should have pcie, it came into play in 2004

that'll run windows 7/8/8.1 fine, too

Dell Optiplex P3 255mb ram

I like using DOS edit.com to brainstorm and collect my thoughts. I've been using DOS EDIT since I was 6 ; it just speaks to me in a way most text editors can't.
>>
>>47031425
looks the same as my families' first main/new computer (optiplex gx110)
it had 128M ram and no graphics card (just onboard intel 810 graphics)

still played q3, ut'99, sof2 and ms cfs 2000 great though

got a geforce 2 mx200 a little later and it could play ut'03 fine, too
>>
>>47031471
oh yea, and the monitor it came with i used personally up until 2009

was 1280x1024@60 natively, but also;
1024x768@85
800x600@100
640x640@120
and i also at one point used a custom 1680x1050@60 mode
>>
>>47029082
I feel sorry for you m8

the caps in those were the worst dell's ever used, we had so many of those die on us from popped caps
>>
>>47031425
Similarly, I have one of these which has been sitting around as a WIP Windows 98SE battlestation of sorts.

Pentium III 450MHz (one of the early Slot 1 CPUs)
128MB RAM (could add more but I don't really see the point)
40GB 5400 RPM hard drive (currently trying to figure out a way to transfer the install to a 7200 RPM drive)
GeForce 4 MX440 (tfw no Voodoo)
Soundblaster Live (I have a SB16, but it sounds like shit now)

I have it hooked up to a KVM switch, so it actually works with my main PC's gaymen keyboard and mouse.
>>
>>47031523
In my experience, the 270 was way worse with caps than the 260. Literally 50% failure rate.

First computer my family bought back in the late 90s. Gave it a few upgrades along the way.

Pentium III 450Mhz - The old slot 1 version
256MB DDR RAM
40GB IDE hard drive
3dfx Voodoo3 3000 AGP
Windows 98 SE

Keep it around mostly for really old games that don't play nice with modern windows, or that used glide.

Fujitsu Lifebook C-7651

1.13Ghz Pentium 3, 768MB, 40GB

I have it running Debian Stable with LXDE.

The primary purpose of the machine is to run Logitech Media Server and Subsonic music server. I have an external HDD attached and it serves up over 20k tracks without a hitch.
>>
How about weird machines for mundane purposes?

Don't use it anymore, but up until about 6 months ago, this was my fileserver:

-433mhz DEC Alpha 21164, overclocked from 366
-512MB RAM in 8x72-pin EDO SIMMs
-4.3GB Wide SCSI boot drive
-PCI SATA card with 2x1TB drives for storage
-gaudy as fuck early '00s Raidmax gaming case with blue neon and multicolored LED fans
-NetBSD
-controlled with a DEC VT420 terminal

No picture, don't feel like digging it out of the closet.

What's the point of anyone owning one of these pieces of shit when it'll be a chore and woefully energy inefficient to actually turn on as opposed to just chucking it and running windows 3.1 on dosbox?

I have a 3.4GHz P4HT with integrated graphics (i945G) running a minimal Debian install. It can't play 1080p files downloaded from jewtube without stuttering. Tried with mpv, mplayer and VLC. It's a pretty good machine for web browsing, though.
>>
>>47035593
How well does it stream video? My 3.0GHz stutters sometimes when streaming 1080p. Doesn't have any problems with playing 1080p (even 10p i think).

this is great. My friend has an old e-machine That is the bane of his existance that he was stuck using till I sold him my old rig cause hes a poorfag.

The thing could barely run TF2 at sub 720 with mid graphics without the framerate dropping to ~20
