Why do you guys so fervently recommend this piece of shit? I decided to switch from uTorrent following the Bitcoin miner scandal, and Deluge runs like complete shit.
>>
Use Qbittorrent.
>>
Most people actually recommend qBittorrent.

Personaly I had both run fine on my machine. I guess it just sucks to be you. Go back to your beloved uTorrent.
>>
>>47002439
Out of curiosity, how does qBittorrent differ from BitTorrent?

They are not at all similar

It's a completely different client by completely different people.

Not sure if the mainline BitTorrent uses libtorrent. If it does, then their insides are the same.

client_test is even more lightweight.

There is no excuse to use Windows for day-to-day use.

qbit is just utorrent 2.2.0 with a few changes and streaming.

>>47002631

uTorrent was popularized back when 4GB RAM and 500GB HDs were considered large. Get with the times gramps.

Better hardware is neither an excuse for poor coding nor for bloat.
>>
>>47002834

A 10 MB increase in memory usage is hardly bloat. Especially when it has improved functionality.

How so? It has to download torrents, nothing else. uTorrent does it perfectly. Why qB needs that 10 MiB more?
>>
I don't think anyone recommends Deluge anymore. Maybe it was one of the better alternatives when qBittorrent was still rather bugged out, but qBittorrent seems to be stable now.

I did use Deluge for a little while, but it's way too bloated. It uses as much memory as my Web browser. It also can't prefetch metadata for magnet links, which makes it pretty useless if you download a lot of torrents from Pirate Bay.
>>
>>47002409
Use Tixati or qbittorrent.

Not sure why you believed someone telling you to use Deluge. Same goes for Vuze and others.

Use uTorrent 2.2.1
>>
I don't

I'd reccomenned transmission ot qbittorrent.
>>
>>47002957
qbitorrent is crossplatform. Meaning it uses libraries that need to be distributed in some way, or linked statically. utorrent only needs to run on windows, it can be built directly for it.

For all we know utorrent is all asm code on the inside, but I'd doubt it.

I use Vuze because I missed the advance options and features.

Deluge and qb just don't cut it for me.

What the fuck happened to those two groups of faggots on here that were making a torrent client?

I stopped following both of them because they were whiny cunts like most people here.
