No if you read the article I linked it says that women can't comfortably use VR headsets because they use different methods to work out the distance of something than men. This can't be fixed ether atleast for a while as it would require extremely realistic shadows for everything which would use up a massive amount if resources.

People said the same shit about 3D movies when Avatar came out. Most of the biggest films last year didn't even come out in 3D. The sad reality is, these headsets will always be niche because they require more effort to use than a normal screen. Anything that takes more effort to use just annoys anyone trying to work. You're not going to get people to be happy with having to re-calibrate the FOV on their headsets, no one has solved the problem of it being a weight on your head, it fucks up your hair and limits your interactions with the world around you by cutting everything out. Soon there will be large groups of people who will be trying to limit their time looking at a screen. Sure this is every basement neckbeards wet dream, and kids will love them, but I don't see it catching on with adults ever.
