All the technological advances in the world, and the battery hasn't changed in decades. How does that make you feel?
>the battery hasn't changed in decades
Are you trying to change the definition of a battery?
We'll have supercapacitors to replace batteries.
Eventually.
blame chemistry cunt
The laws of physics haven't changed for billions of years
>>46940132
you're delusional if you think batteries from 10years ago are the same as the ones today
>2005
Motorolla Q had ~ 1000 mAh battery.
High End HTC Universal had 1600 mAh battery.
>2015
Lenovo P70 has 4000 mAh
Zenfone 2 has 3000 mAh
Pretty sure the battery has advanced. Most phones today come with atleast 2000 mAh.

>All the technological advances in the world, and the battery hasn't changed in decades. How does that make you feel?
expect it has you stupid yurocuck.

Double the size, double the storage capacity, you dumb fuck. They didn't get better, they got bigger.
We use lithium ion now
that's pretty new
>>46940286
You know we can go for 1000000 mAh battery too. But no one outside of large industries can afford it.
Lets say we have 1000000 mAh in the next 5 years.
What will you say? "Stupid fuck, we had 1000000 mAh in 2015. Double the size double the storage".
Aka you are a retard, anon-san.
>>46940286
Sure they did.
>>46940132
MFW there were batteries size of D batteries back 100 years that's 120V, and there aren't anything close to that today
>>46940261
>expect it has
Apparently we have tons of battery tech but most of it was bought off and sold to various conglomerates in different markets due to the harm that could be done to them in respective markets. I.e. car manufactures buying battery tech that could yield better electric vehicles.
Or so I've been told, I do think we could do a lot better but science does have its limits
>>46940132
Lithium ion and lithium polymer batteries have all increased in capacity and charge cycles, not to mention density.
>>46940407
Or so I've been told, I do think we could do a lot better but jews and their greed does have its limits*
>1976 Mach 2.04 Comercial Supersonic airliners
>2015 Mach 0.85 Comercial airliners
Progress...

>1000000 mAh
Stop. Learn to use SI properly so that I don't have to see this shit.
>>46940428
you're right, anon. fuckin' kikes
>your sexbot will have to be constantly plugged into the wall
the future is cruel
the battery has changed you idiot, they are getting better and better all the time
>>46940428
>>46940407
Take off your conspiritard tinfoil hat and at least pretend like you're not a fucking moron. This isn't /x/.
Lithium ion batteries can be significantly improved in energy density by use of different anode material like crushed silicon. The issue is that the silicon anode material expands when charged, and the particles break themselves apart then lose their ability to charge again. Things being researched and tested doesn't mean that "various conglomerates" are withholding them from the rest of mankind.
Educate yourself instead of regurgitating what you've "been told."

Why are you even alive?
>>46940466
Sexbot of the far future would run on you're semen. However would need to recharge 3 times a day and 1 hour of sunlight solar charge.
>>46940237
Ah is meaningless.
You need Wh to actually have a meaningful measure of capacity.
>>46940466
Sugar powered batteries anon. Sugar has a high specific energy, about 17 mega joules per kilogram. For reference fats are around 37, gasoline 44, and a lowly alkaline battery 0.67.
The belly of a waifu bot could be a fuel tank that you simply pour sugar into, white granulated sugar is like $6 a pound where I live, and that could power a robot for a very long time. Cheaper unbleached sugar would work just the same.
>>46940332
How about you research what you talk about before talking out your ass.
There have been some interesting developments in increasing the charge time of batteries, but the over all capacity is ultimately limited by chemistry.
>>46940356
Are those things any good?
I really love the concept even though I haven't used double a batteries in years.
>>46940432
Supersonic airliners have a number of disadvantages that are not overshadowed by their higher cruising speed such as noise or higher fuel consumption for less cargo. In the end, it's money that speaks and faster is not always better.
>>46940432
Do you have any idea how much more efficient those sub-sonic engines are than the ones used in the Concorde?
No, you don't.
It's a fucking lot.
