For anyone asking about the audio stuff, to be honest, wish I had a good answer to it, love the headphones so I bought them, bought the yeti in the background and then got a fantastic deal on the Blue Spark so I bought it. Just prefer having nice headphones and a substantial mic than using a headset!
I want to get some sort of LED lighting to put behind the monitors but I don't know where to start.

I got one of those cheap Chinese strips of LEDs off of Amazon. They're not super high quality, but I didn't expect that. They still have a pretty strong light, dimmable, you can manually adjust the RGB, preset colour sequences too.

There are some great cheap remote controlled strips on eBay... But look for the ones that are segmented. You can build a picture frame of them basically on the back of each monitor. They have little jumper cables between each segment.

Well, they're all pretty subjective, aesthetically. Also, size obviously varies massively. The other guy is right, Ikea is a good place to start.
The good thing with their desks is that you can always keep the legs and get a new/bigger desktop. For example, I'm probably going to get a 200cm one to stretch all the way to the end of my lizard's vivarium, and then reattach the legs.

If you want cheap looks, finishes that wear out quickly, edges that fray, and weak construction go with Ikea. If you want good construction, lasting materials, great looks, and the ability to refinish the desk then buy a wooden desk. Go on craigslist and find one, source your own table top and make it, or go to an actual furniture store and find a desk you like.
Linnmon or whatever cheap particle board desks sold at ikea are terrible unless you are just buying a cheap desk when you know you will move out in a year and you can trash the desk. Even so, its so much cheaper to buy used on craigslist than to purchase from ikea. Almost every station that uses ikea furniture looks cheap and lazy.

I tried doing what you said and it's true, I can notice a difference but I stand by what I said originally: having them at ear level is optimal, having them in other location decreases quality but it's not absolutely terrible shit, unacceptably bad.
