Similar story here, work for an IT company, over 50% use iPhone's.
I don't get it, Android is very similar to iOS really, but it just let's you do whatever you want, I can torrent, use a file browser, backup, change almost anything like themes, fonts, DPI, launchers. I can install apps via an APK, not everything has to come from the Play Store. I can even use my phone to boot up Ubuntu like I live CD! And then there's Tasker, I can automate almost anything... Android Wear, I see all my notifications on my watch, I get regular updates, I can flash different ROMs, change the recovery, kernel etc. It just gives you so much freedom!
I did use iOS previously, obviously jail broken, but it just doesn't work as well.
