Hey /g/,
I wanted to get into unity engine, but now that unreal is (kind of) free, I dont know if I should do that. I don't have experience with either, and not much programming experience in general. Although I can learn very quickly and I have the time for it. Another thing to mention; I havn't planned on doing anything with those good graphics or something. As i said, just a beginner.
Is unreal a good place to start?

go get a book on python or c++ and go from there
You don't need any programming to use unreal, it has it's own system called blueprints.
Doesn't Unreal use some bullshit like "UnrealScript"?
>>46831500
Well is it any good? Do advanced people also use it?
>>46831581
Yes, people working for big game companies use it.

kismet nigga, learn it, love it
Fuck off /v/ faggot. Jumping straight into game development without programming experience is like trying to run a marathon without knowing how to walk.
I would also like to know since I'm in the same spot as OP.

It's not that bad, more like running a marathon without out tying your shoelaces. Your gonna fall down, hurt yourself a lot and will probably give up. But you can make it.
>wanting to develop gaymes without programming experience
