For hosting just look up LAMP on Digital Ocean. They have a guide. Then all your files will go in the /var/www/html folder.

Yes. Edit the DNS on your host to point @ to the IP of your VPS. Then look up how to edit the host file in Ubuntu to add the domain.
None of this is hard and its good skills to have if you want to admin websites.
