/g/ what have you done with yours?

I've been putting off getting one of these things for ages but now that they recently released the 2 I'm going to get one. Not entirely sure yet on what I'll do with it except play around.

B+
openelec for media server behind my 42" 4k tv.

I'm planning to maybe buy another one (I'm waiting for the 2 to cost 30€) to use as opevpn + nas.

or use the B+ for that, and buy another board for xbmc that can play my hi10p anime (protip: the pi2 won't)
>>
Original B Model 2, going to upgrade it to a RaspPi 2 B soon.
Currently using it for my B-MO.
>>
Check out the odroid C1. Same price but better specs and a lot of the ports aren't tied through USB. It's made in South Korea so that's why it's the same price.
>>
Is an arduino fine?

Got one for my birthday. I don't have an LCD screen so I'm using the LEDs to output in binary. Here it is displaying the range of 0-255
>>
>>46732792
I wasn't really planning on using it to play any media files. Mostly just as a web server for some stuff and maybe to auto download stuff from my box so I coudl turn off the PC during nights.

>>46732854
Thx anon I'll make sure to check it out.

a B/B+ is enough for that.
A model 2 or an Odroid C1 won't hurt, but good luck spending less than 40-45 bucks

Waiting for Win10 to reach it's final state. I'm really curious about Win10 on a Raspberry. I'm hoping for a GUI, would be an ideal thinclient
>>
>>46733043
it will 90% be an headless win10.
(no gui)

hacked you're IP :^)

tried to run a MC server, absolutely abysmal performance. the mc server designed to be used for Pis is no longer updated.

i used it for an apache server at one point. now it just sits in a drawer because i really can't find a good use for it. not enough power to do anything major with. (without buying multiple, which is pointless as anything you'd do would just be better buying a proper pc for)

There's one on sale on newgg righ tnow. or tiger direct. one of those 2

You sure? I'm guessing it's more or less Windows CE 2015 edition or windows 10 phone edition. People probably assumes the micro framework thing on their general IoT webpage means it wont have graphics support.

I have one. I haven't used it once. Every time I think of something I can do with it I remember my desktop can do it 500 times better.

Where the fuck do I buy a Pi 2 without a ridiculous markup?

>only boring ass unoriginal stuff
No one making use of GPIO. No one doing fun shit. You all use it as a low power server or htpc.
>>
>>46734614
What's a good price? It goes for €40 in a retail store near me. I'm considering picking one up.

Have a B.
Pretty much this.

Make use of two of them at work though. One as a mail filter, and the other as a internal website. Worked quite well.

How do you go about implementing PCIe x1 on a Raspberry Pi? Do you guys know any tricks?

I found a method but is kinda messy, needs like 3 adapters (pic unrelated).

What? The pic is a USB connected through multiple adapters, it's not PCIe but gives an idea what I meant.
>>
>>46735067
Does that actually works?

Does anybody know where i can find a easy tutorial for how to make a quad copter with the raspberry ? because all i can find is shitty half written blogs.

That's what happens when you don't shut down kodi properly and only do it via remote.
Fuck my laziness

I do use openElec, but overclocked it to 1Ghz.

Never changed the filesystem from openElec. It's the default.
