I'm looking at buying a camera for some cinematic nature shots. The catch is that it needs to be able to record in 720P HD and at 120fps. Also, I would prefer if it were in the 'affordable' range. I am considering the Go Pro Hero 3 but am open for suggestions

Go and have a look at the Sony RX100. Buying it grey market shouldn't cost all that much and the quality is... surprisingly good. It won't do 120fps but its a very handy little camera.
