CM is still very good, I dont see why would someone complain about it.

My rice? By rating the most minimal ROMs the highest?

I guess you don't like freedom, OP.

Sometimes I wonder if the reason ROM's suck is because the original distribution is too good.

hey /g/entoomen, is there a good rom available for Samsung Galaxy s4 active that just works?

In the US btw.
>>

Learn your dev community. Xda is pretty decent about the recognized dev program but every now and then a few retards slip through. Trust the best, fuck the rest.
>>
>>45714548

>God tier
>a featureless ROM that practically doesn't support any device at all

>>45715507
OP is probably one of those weird fanboys. Or the creator
>>
>Cyanogenmod is only good if you use freecyngn
Is this script a meme? The source code for all the apps it is removing is avaible.

Can anyone explain why developers stopped focusing on battery life now? I'm trying to find a good ROM for my nexus 4. Using crdroid lollipop
>>
/g/ you are fucking retarded yet again.

Best to worst.
>AOSP w/ Linaro
>SlimRom, Omnirom
>PA, Carbon
>AOKP

>>
>>45714623
pac is usually unstable as fuck thats the problem.
>>
Im new to android. What do these even do?

Just more customization options? Or are there performance enhancements too?

Like, i just got an lg g3, is there any reason to root it?
>>
>>45715632
No they're not.
Have you even read what you're linking to?
>>
>>45714548
>that feel when cant into android mods because of carrier restrictions
>>
>>45716082
The source code for all the apps are at those links, how are they not open source?
>>
>>45714573
Fuck CM. They took open source code, community additions, tied it up in legal knots and then proceeded to sell it for a profit to the shittiest if Indian OEMers, fucking over early OPO adopters and the AOSP in the process.

Omnirom all the way. They actually ADD to the community and open up their source for whatever additions they make. They also bother to have real maintainers and proper nightly builds with proper voted changes and properly documented changelogs with a proper searchable history.

Fuck Cyanogen.
>>
>>45716235
Google Analytics (from CMStats), CMAccount, Voice+ and VoiceDialer all rely on proprietary software.
>>45716272
Exactly.
>>
Was using purity ROM on my nexus 5

Bricked it and installed lollipop with wugfresh and so far its amazing.

No need for grrrnify, xposed all that crap I thought I needed to save battery
>>
i'm using cm11 on my xperia u st25i.
i travel a lot (some days 2 hrs up then down) and sometimes hate the fact that none of the roms have a fm radio.
the rom to come out with a fm radio gets all my internets.
>>
>using anything but stock android or a custom rom based off stock android

Why even bother with that platform if you're not going to use the convince of google services?
>>
what should i install on my i9100? i'm running cm 10 but fuck that shit im stuck on it for centuries, cm11 is still in nightlies. Should i install Paranoid Android or this shit op mentioned - replicant?

And where the fuck do i find odin flash tool? Last time i downloaded it it came with like 300 malware infections
>>
>>45716899
cm11 nightlies are pretty much stale enough for daily use now. can't say anything about your particular device though. why don't you visit xda, maybe you'll find something worth using.
>>
>>45714611
slimrom is awesome. Stick with it.
>>
>>45716293
hello from the battery thread
>>
what's the best choice for a t-mo galaxy note 3? the majority of the roms mentioned itt aren't seemingly available officially for it and the xda forums are filled with shitty riced out roms made by people who can't speak english
>>
>>45715865
>miui
fuck off, have been using it for now 2 years
no problems, no lag, good customization, yeah sorry not enough to rice and pleasure your autism
works fine on chinkphones, would recommend
>>
>Paranoid in low-tier
ok, kid.
>>
cyanogen is a shitty botnet
paranoid master race
>>
So what's the best rom?
>>
What's wrong with PA?
I've been using it on my I9300 for a while now and it's working really well, unlike CM.

CM is now mantained by a bunch of assholes, and it lacks a lot of featues, only is still popular because it supports almost every device

best rom for htc one m7?
>>
CM used to be dogshit slow for me. I use vanir. Good balance of features and speed.

You mean they did exactly what the license allows? Should have listened to stallman
>>
>>45722661
Just because they can do something, doesn't mean they should.

The way they handled OPO and Micromax has nothing to do with the GPL.

Then make sure you use a license that you assure they dont do that something.
