Guys, I'm making my first build tomorrow and I get a free operating system from my school. Should I get Win7 or Win8.1? I'm torn between the two because I like win7 compatibility but I also am assuming 8.1 will upgrade straight to win10 in the future.

performance, hard to say since i just installed it..but it does boot faster. no problems with games, it's windows, so you still use all their stuff for graphics and what not, also win8 has been out for a while now. benefits from ui...slicker imo. square looks nice.
