Just bought a 900D, it's shipping direct from Corsair now. I'm really excited about it. What are your favorite cases, /g/ents?
>People still buying that overpriced piece of garbage
>>45603033
Got it on the cheap with an employee accom at my job.
>>45603029
Smaller cases than that.
Nice case and good for you on the better price. I know that feel, will get an Asus pb287q for half price.
I regret buying a full tower, however. Now I want a midi tower, either R5 or the corsair air something something cube case.
Anyone got suggestions for a white medium tower case that isn't too pricey?
Fractile Design R4 such a nice case
>>45604984
I'm torn between this one and the h440. Advice?
>>45605092
i have an define R4 and it is the shit
>>45603029
I was going to buy one of those when I was planning on building an open-loop watercooling system. The thing's xbox hueg. Buying that case and then not building a watercooling system into it is rather daft. Well, unless you're a serious-business IT type who needs something that can fit a big array of hard drives and one of those 12"x13" extended-ATX dual-socket mobos.
I have a black Vengeance C70, I'm happy with it. Enough room but not too huge, a bit of rice but not too much, good cooling, convenient handles.
If the height of my cooler is 160mm and the clearance for the case is 161, am i in the clear or am i fucked? Case's 200 mm wide.
Cheap and big enough.
+1
R4 master race
I fucking hate my case, dusty as all hell (I modded some freaking dust filters onto it to make it acceptable), looks retarded, the mobo cutout is not aligned properly and thereby completely useless, stock fans are shit, airflow and overall cooling is okay but not good enough for a full tower, it looks retarded, pieces of it broke off just after 2 builds, cable management is not ideal, build quality in general is pretty shit and it looks retarded.....
I can't really justify a new case, but I hate it so much. What would be a good full tower with clean aesthetics, maybe a bit of sound dampening and REALLY good airflow? It needs to keep 2 R9 290s in CF cool (top card is currently sitting at 86°C while being pretty loud) and fit a noctua NH-D 14.

forgot the pic.
>>45606204
I am torn between this and the R5, how silent is that case anon?
>>45604174
Air 540 my friend. Love it.
>>45603029
Im a fan of the H440, Its an R4 Killer in my view, and they roughly cost the same.
Bitfenix Outlaw
>>45606244
Forgot to post my case. Done the job but am bored with it now.
>>45605280
Isnt it loud though?
Black 760T with blue fans
>>45603029
Ive thought about that as a server case since it has so many drive bay options. I think theres like 15 in all, or 18, cant remember if you can put a bay to the left of the upper one.
But the define r4/r5 is tempting for all dat noise dampening
>>45603029
Damn I could fit my bedroom inside that case
Can I play too?
>>45604984

>>45606720
Cooler and quieter
I like my case

Love my scratched up phantom 410, its just like muh brushed metl

>What are your favorite case
The 750D
>>45606694
yes pls. do you have that one?
>>45607333
No, planning on getting one.
>>45604943
Thermaltake Chaser A31
>>45607450
same. wondering if I should just convert to itx, though. I don't plan on using dual graphics cards or anything, and I pretty much have to keep my case on my desk.
>>45607559
The itx version is the same size, just more space for drives and no support for matx.
>>45607576
if I went itx i think i would get this instead.
Owned some pretty good cases. Some real popular ones. My current one is my favorite one to date is my current. Which is the In Win 901. A few others for random rating sake:
>Silverstone FT02
7/10
>Corsair 550D
8.5/10
>Corsair 600T
7/10
>Lian Li PC-Q03B
7.5/10
This is my case. A lot of people might think it's too small but my hands were just the right size to route cables and it was able to fit an ATX mobo in there. It's actually got pretty decent airflow now. The only problem is the dust, since I put 5 fans in there, not counting the push-pull config.
>>45607613
Expensive as fuck
Any alternatives similar to that one?
I just need a case that supports full-sized GPU's and doesn't add useless harddrive space
>>45607905
Fucking
>>45607940
Aaaand I think I just found my case.
>>45608139
Would be great without that nasty thermaltake badge.
>>45608139
>full size GPU
>2 slots for storage, SSD and a HDD
>full size cpu cooler
>good cooling
>doesn't look like ass, ignoring the badge
>doing all this while not being xbox hUEG
how the fuck did I even miss this
It's like $35 too
>>45603029
Silverstone FT05

Hi there big bro.
which case is the most aesthetically pleasing?
>>45608270
See here. >>45607657
Antec 300
>>45608270
I like mine. It's cheap and beautiful.
Actually it looks like bane.

which case is that?

You didn't read the "see here:"

Cool, I'm bringing the marshmellow
>>45603029
i just bought a rosewill thor. it seems pretty cool.
>>45608851
somehow by brain didn't parse in win as a brand, thanks
>>45608854
ok buddy
>>45608877
does it generate lightning?
>>45608882
They used to, and still do make some real crap stuff. But they recently started making some real nice stuff.
>>45603029
For a nice dual/triple GPU watercooled setup I'd pick the Enthoo Primo, but for quad-GPU with watercooling the 900D is really the only option.
I currently have a nice mITX APU build in a Node 304. It's small and unassuming and makes almost no noise, but it does everything I need it to.
Premium air cooling.
Solid aluminum construction.
Minimalist aesthetics.
>>45608139
>no dust filter on giant side vent
Dropped.
>>45608780
That's a big case.
>>45609218

love my 760t
>>45604943
Stay away from NZXT source 210 elite. I have the black version and I hate this case.
>USB 3.0 cable always unplugged
>Had to purchase separate bay to hold my SSD
>sides feel flimsy
Best case coming though.
is this case worth a buy?
>>45609687
>NZXT
Decent, but not my first pick.
>>45609630
>all those useless optical drive bays
Why are they still using those?
>>45609898
People still use them. I filed mine with HDDs.
>>45609898
The FT02 is a fairly old case at this point. But I agree - I'd love it if they released an update with no 5.25" bays at all.
are you assholes even trying?
>>45609969
>CaseLabs
>$150
Yeah, good luck with that.
>>45609969
Plenty of good, and not-overpriced cases were posted in this thread.
any reason not to get a 400D or 500D?
>>45608139
That case has 1 flaw.
the maximum CPU heighht is 140mm
Guess how high most CPU coolers are
>>45609974
there is no price limit in OP's post. stop being poor.
>>45609983
>being this far up corsair's asshole
okay anon
>>45610036
Where did I say corsair? If anything, your hostility indicates your bias.
>>45610036
Fuck, I thought this was a different thread. Anyway, Caselabs is great if you're throwing money at a quad GPU + dedicated PhysX with everything under water, but for the average build it's more than overkill.
>>45610048
i have bought corsair products on a number of occasions. there are better choices 9/10 if you cough up a few more shekels (sometimes cheaper cause you're not paying for the gaymen branding)
>>45610066
oh it's absolutely overkill for the majority of users. but when you're going full custom, there is none better. cheers mate
>>45603029
I've got a corsair 300R
It's pretty nice, I guess. I'd recommend it for noob builders if you can get one on sale. It's got a bunch of little niggly drawbacks though, too many to recommend to a serious builder. The front panel and the bottom PSU intake have air filters, but none of the other fan slots do, and to clean the front one you have to take the front panel off (which requires removing the optical drive if you have one) and then taking it apart to get the dust filter out of the grille. The bottom air intake is positioned forward where it would fit a long high-power PSU, but a regular PSU's air intake is over half covered by the intake filter housing.
On the other hand, it's a big, easy case to build in, it has built-in standoffs, plenty of cable management space, good access to the CPU cooler backplate, and its pretty sharp if you're into the industrial aesthetic.
this seems like the right thread to ask...
I wanna build a respectable gaming PC (my first) and I have a lot of the "knowhow" (I'm an IET student) but I'm not so sure about the cases....
I want something small enough to fit nicely in a living room setting, next to a TV (to replace the traditional console's position) and be somewhat mobile, but also be large enough to accommodate a decent sized closed-loop liquid cooling circuit and a respectable motherboard, GPU, power supply and the associated cables. Any suggestions?
pic related: what I'm currently considering.
Had a Hadron but couldn't fit my newest gpu so went with a Corsair 250D.

Fractal Design Define Mini
>>45609898
One of the best aircooling with sturdy construction. The only reason I can think of people wouldn't want to use one is if they needed a smaller case for a dorm room or LAN parties.
>>45603029
>retards actually buying huge cases for their shitty single card aircooled builds
>>45610592
More room means better airflow, anon. :^)
>>45610413
Whoa, that's real fucking nice, man... Thanks
>>45606273
imsure this is a great case and all but for me its back to front and untill i see it facing left to right i wont ever understand it
I bought this for my first build. Did I do good? I'll be honest I have no idea what to look for and I just thought it was cool
>>45609630
But that's not this.
