Not OP, but I horde damn near everything these days. I've always had one or two laptops at a time plus a desktop now and then, and before I got a server, shit was all over the place. With the server I've got a central repository of stuff to sync.
Right now, the majority of my horde is TV shows and Anime (which I have less time to watch now that I've got a collection), a bunch of games I pirated, music (don't care about FLAC's but I could store plenty of them), and of course, porn because I have a fetish that's not very popular on streaming sites.

That's probably mostly shit though. When I collected, I saved only the stuff I liked. Then I set a new standard and went through everything again, picture by picture, and deleted more than half. Then I did it again, and again. I can't tell you how many hours of my life went into that 14gb. That's one of the reasons I deleted it.
Now that I'm becoming an artist, I do wish I had saved my absolute favorites, but oh well.

my best advice would be to first find legit sources of what you search for, for example The Great Courses have some courses on math, mostly algebra and calculus (which i dled but i'll probably never watch it), and when you find what you need you go searching for pirate
