The Github repo is outdated, but the XPI on addons.mozilla.org isn't. Either way, I just used it as a guideline for my vimperator config.set! general.appname.override="Netscape"
set! general.appversion.override="5.0 (Windows)"
set! general.buildID.override="20141113143407"
set! general.oscpu.override="Windows NT 6.1; WOW64"

They're both shit. Use NoScript.
Thought about making a new thread but am asking here instead:
What are essential things to change in about:config?
E.g. Geo.enabled -> false

>>45493227
panopticlick before blender:
Currently, we estimate that your browser has a fingerprint that conveys at least 22.18 bits of identifying information.
after blender:
Currently, we estimate that your browser has a fingerprint that conveys at least 22.18 bits of identifying information.
is this normal? (the additional settings on blender do not change anything)

wait, this did change I think:
>Within our dataset of several million visitors, only one in 2,382,045 browsers have the same fingerprint as yours.
I think it was one in 4M+ before, but the other "score" didn't change at all
>>45493025
>Adblock Plus is for plebs. Use Adblock Edge.
>>45493465
Well, if your default fingerprint doesn't differ from (that much) from Blender's it's not gonna change a whole lot.
>>45493624
I suppose you can't do much to change it then, disabling font/plugin list enumeration had no effect
>>45493708
There seems to be an issue with that feature. I haven't looked to much into it because I don't have any plugins installed (java, flash, ..).
Gmail notifier is a must
>>45493748
I mean, I tried disabling them from flash cfg and plugins.enumerable_names respectively, exactly the same score from the test
>>45493776
Like I said, there's an issue with the plugin thingy in Blender.
https://github.com/meh/blender/issues/9
As for Flash, well, I wouldn't trust it. Flash cookies is a nasty thing.
>>45493805
I'm not using that, I manually disabled the enumeration

>Within our dataset of several million visitors, only one in 2,759 browsers have the same fingerprint as yours.

Adblock Edge is for people who don't know how to untick a checkbox.
I'm not that incompetent.
>>45493829
Can't really say I understand what you're trying to do. Post your actual config and results.
>>45493850
Which user agent are you using? I'm having trouble finding a really common one. Thanks.
>>45493857
Of course everyone is able to do that. It's more about sending a message that we don't want shit like that in our adblockers.
>>45492907
Always essential with Firefox
>>45493861
obviously I'm missing something, I'm not really familiar with this stuff
I'm assuming the "(via Flash)" on fonts means it cannot retrieve them as it did show a list before I disabled it from mms.cfg

>>45493927

>>45493935
>obviously I'm missing something, I'm not really familiar with this stuff
It's not easy to get it right, but the 'one in x browsers have this value' should give you an indication. Here's mine.
>I'm assuming the "(via Flash)" on fonts means it cannot retrieve them as it did show a list before I disabled it from mms.cfg
I would guess that most people who do use Flash don't have that setting, and naturally if you don't have flash it won't show anything at all.
Either way, you may want to tweak the HTTP_ACCEPT Headers, as they are quite unique.
Realisticly speaking I would guess most fingerprinting tools use a combination of user agent, screen resolution, ip and cookies. With NoScript you get a long way with disabling most of this.
>>45493971
Thanks. I was wondering if you were able to get that low of a fingerprint with javascript. With it I get "one in 6,261 browsers have the same fingerprint as yours.", mainly because of 1920x1200 resolution being uncommon.
>>45494037
I totally forgot this existed. Using Vimperator you don't need much of what the GCLI can offer, but it's pretty cool either way.
I download over 500+ pics from Danbooru very day but what's the best way to do it? I just want it to download pictures from all my tabs at once so I don't have to change tab > save > change tab > save etc

I do know that, but from time to time it goes nuts and starts opening blank new tabs like crazy (and doesn't actually open the PDF). I have no idea why. Disabling the built in viewer and installing the extension fixes that.

You can disable the spyware in Ubuntu but it still scared off a lot of users forever. It's a trust thing, really.
Is BetterPrivacy even needed anymore? I remember reading that clearing history also removes flash cookies.
