The Github repo is outdated, but the XPI on addons.mozilla.org isn't. Either way, I just used it as a guideline for my vimperator config.

set! general.appname.override="Netscape"
set! general.appversion.override="5.0 (Windows)"
set! general.buildID.override="20141113143407"
set! general.oscpu.override="Windows NT 6.1; WOW64"
set! general.platform.override="Win32"
set! general.useragent.override="Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:33.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/33.0"
set! intl.accept_languages="en-US, en"

What are essential things to change in about:config?
E.g. Geo.enabled -> false

panopticlick before blender:
Currently, we estimate that your browser has a fingerprint that conveys at least 22.18 bits of identifying information.

after blender:
Currently, we estimate that your browser has a fingerprint that conveys at least 22.18 bits of identifying information.

is this normal? (the additional settings on blender do not change anything)

I think it was one in 4M+ before, but the other "score" didn't change at all

Well, if your default fingerprint doesn't differ from (that much) from Blender's it's not gonna change a whole lot.
>>
>>45493624
I suppose you can't do much to change it then, disabling font/plugin list enumeration had no effect
>>
>>45493708
There seems to be an issue with that feature. I haven't looked to much into it because I don't have any plugins installed (java, flash, ..).

I mean, I tried disabling them from flash cfg and plugins.enumerable_names respectively, exactly the same score from the test

Like I said, there's an issue with the plugin thingy in Blender.

https://github.com/meh/blender/issues/9

As for Flash, well, I wouldn't trust it. Flash cookies is a nasty thing.

Of course everyone is able to do that. It's more about sending a message that we don't want shit like that in our adblockers.

I'm assuming the "(via Flash)" on fonts means it cannot retrieve them as it did show a list before I disabled it from mms.cfg

It's not easy to get it right, but the 'one in x browsers have this value' should give you an indication. Here's mine.

>I'm assuming the "(via Flash)" on fonts means it cannot retrieve them as it did show a list before I disabled it from mms.cfg
I would guess that most people who do use Flash don't have that setting, and naturally if you don't have flash it won't show anything at all.

Either way, you may want to tweak the HTTP_ACCEPT Headers, as they are quite unique.

Realisticly speaking I would guess most fingerprinting tools use a combination of user agent, screen resolution, ip and cookies. With NoScript you get a long way with disabling most of this.

>>45493971
Thanks. I was wondering if you were able to get that low of a fingerprint with javascript. With it I get "one in 6,261 browsers have the same fingerprint as yours.", mainly because of 1920x1200 resolution being uncommon.
>>
>>45494037
I totally forgot this existed. Using Vimperator you don't need much of what the GCLI can offer, but it's pretty cool either way.

Is BetterPrivacy even needed anymore? I remember reading that clearing history also removes flash cookies.
