~500 PPI is the sweet spot for phones in my opinion.
Slightly less for monitors and TVs as you sit further away from them but still way more than that 100-150 PPI AIDS we have today.

What type of display are the newer Samsung phones using?
My professor had a Samsung phone for use with the Google Cardboard, but I can't remember what phone he had.
There was absolutely zero screen door. The gap between each subpixel was nonexistent, and the subpixels were rectangular/box shaped.

If you look at this far enough away that each set of characters takes up the same horizontal space in your field of vision as something 15mm wide at the same distance you use your phone at, the bottom one is the clearest.
