You can exploit any hardware with radio signal [1] (there's another speak on DefCon, but I can't find now). Observe the pattern and then you can see what the hardware are doing. It's [tinfoil=1] used by NSA in TEMPEST [2] program. I think it's not just used by the NSA, but many others agencies, with the intuit to extract sensitive informations of government.
So, a technique to stop this is create a SCIF [3]. It can stop eletromagnetic emissions, and it already used on some sentitive informations (mainframes, for example).
A technique to make it is do a Radio-frequency anechoic chambers [4], to stop it. But, just it don't stop with frequencies, so they use some material like cooper or the lead to stop it. [it's nowadays called: TEMPEST "hardened" rooms].
