What p2p program does /g/ use? I'm using deluge right now but torrents are beginning to randomly stop while downloading.
based deluge here

Transmission.
No reason to use anything other than Deluge.
Deluge master race.
But you can try qBittorrent as well.
Here's my experience with various utorrent alternatives:
Deluge:
Stop seeding after ratio reaches X doesn't work after countless updates
http://dev.deluge-torrent.org/ticket/693
Very difficult to configure auto-start torrent
open containing folder doesn't highlight file
halite:
nonstandard menus difficult to learn
label system not obvious or non-existant
open containing folder doesn't highlight file
qbittorrent:
open containing folder doesn't highlight file

This.

how do you get your tabs next to your address bar like that.

>Seedbox
Deluge
Although they said they fixed the non-ASCII filename bug, the WebUI still chokes on some Japanese torrents. I have no idea why it works with some kanji and not with others.
>Desktop
qBittorrent
The first thing stopped me from using Deluge is it looking like shit.

rtorrent.
Both on Linux and Windows.

The problem is that this keepkeeps happening as I download. I know deluge is considered the best, but if I can't even download files with it I might as well use utorrent.
Transmission-daemon on a dedicated box

Does the Transmission web interface support TLS?

>Stop seeding after ratio reaches X doesn't work after countless updates
Works fine in mine.
>Very difficult to configure auto-start torrent
The easiest method is to have it auto add any torrent placed in a folder. I use the WebUI to add the link and have deluge fetch the torrent file itself.

Have you enabled any disk caching or file allocation?
>>45317115
>TInklebell Collection
Holy fuck, Rondo Duo was so good.
>>45317107
Don't think so, I only use in on my LAN so I never bothered to find out
>>45317149
Still haven't gotten around to trying it yet.
Now I'm quite excited about it.
>>45317124
No, i rarely torrent as comcast likes to be on my ass about piracy, and really just switched from utorrent to deluge.

Since you're on Windows, I would suggest using qBittorrent. I've found that it works better than Deluge in Windows, for some reason.
>>45317094
Could be a number of things. Amongst them, the files have a name summing up more than 255 characters (including folders). Move the download to a shorter named folder such as C:/P2P/
>>45317207
Thanks, ill be sure to download it after i finish setting up shadow of mordor.

If it is complaining about an I/O error there is a solution.
Easy but not permanent fix is to copy the data of the torrent to another folder, delete the torrent from deluge and the original download files, redownload the .torrent file and copy the data back into the torrent folder and let it recheck the data. continue downloading.
I'm new to torrenting and was using qBittorrent but some of the downloads were stalling. I switched to Deluge and it seems to be working okay so far, it's not stalling on the same torrent that qBittorrent was stalling on.
qBittorrent works fine here
when will byteflood be reliable
qBittorrent here.

>qbittorrent:

That was recently fixed according to github.

I'd rather just open the torrent in the application via my browser and have it automatically download everything. I gave up on deluge when qbittorrent did everything I wanted without any hassle (except highlighting).
>>45318230
seriously? guess I need to update...
I made that list 2 years ago or so.
Deluge, works great for me

>>45318324
Why change when this works fine for me?
>>45318331
I meant that it's a recent commit on the github, not yet pushed out to stable.

The Windows user in a nutshell.

Same here except I can't get it to search rutracker for crappy russian trojans uploaded as 1.2 GB flac albums :(
i have always used tixati. it just werks. i use it through a vpn and have never gotten a notice.
>>45318407
Really though, It works fine for me and I really don't feel like going back through and re setting everything up. What benefits would I actually stand to gain by switching?
>>45318452
Last I heard rtorrent was only for Linux anyways
Tell me how pleb I am. it turns me on

>>45318665
Many /g/ users, whether they know it or not, feel pleasure when configuring and tinkering, even if the end result is of no practical benefit.
>>45318745
I enjoy it when there are benefits to be had
>>45316917
