Good job installing gentoo (or at least faking it). The grays are way too washed out, especially for the wallpaper & the shadows (they seem to blend in almost). The shadows themselves are way overdone. The colors aren't bad, but alone on that gray they're quite boring. You might be using two different fonts (which is bad), but I can't tell because of the jpeg (why?). On that resolution especially, everything is too compressed and squished together. Try spacing it out some and leaving room (which should look better with a different wallpaper and shadows, hopefully.)

I think it's more blue on my monitor at least than grey. I would consider changing it if I had this desktop longer than I have. also, I wouldnt find that such a big deal because it grabs the random colours from a wallpaper and puts them in the correct colour codes for your fitting theme. Since you will end up generating those colour codes. Why no use them in your dmenu/openbox config because there is not much to them to edit and should not be too big of a task. Like 5 minutes.
