Musicbee, it fits my exact needs. Has enough features for everyone without being bloated and sloppy. I've also began using Spotify because of the free one month trial they give you, which of course I have already cancelled.

Is there any alternative to foobar on OS X? Tried iTunes, Clementine, Vox, Swinsian and a bunch of others and all sucked in at least a few aspects.
I just wanna provide a directory (network attached) to monitor for my library and be able to have a decent library browser for easy playlist creation and have full format support.
Clementine came pretty close but it has a god awful UI and is slow and bloated as fuck.
Thinking of using Wineskin + foobar, any other suggestions?

Banshee because Linux Mint has it by default, and it's easy to organize my library in it.
On my Mac I use Radiant Player which streams from Google Music, on my phone I use the Walkman app with music on my 64GB microSD card.
When listening to music around the house I usually use my PS3 which has like 40GB of music on it.

Deadbeef. It's not perfect, I have some gripes with it. For example, searching through my library by typing one letter at a time (instead of copypasting a search term) is very slow and laggy. The whole program freezes for a while.
That's not to say it's entirely deadbeef's fault. My library is so huge that I'm thankful that deadbeef can handle it reasonably well at all. Most players choke on just adding that much music. So the list of music players I can actually use is very very small.
More things I like about it: support for regex searching of playlists, support for utilizing regex to search for cover art, no unwanted internet connections (I don't really care for unwarranted lyrics/whatever lookup).
Also it handles non-unicode id3 encodings very very well, which is more than can be said about most of the other players I tried.
I also can't really use anything that relies on libid3tag since I run into an issue where it chokes on certain UTF16 tags.

That is most of it. There is another 50G I have yet to add in a different folder. If you're curious that comes out to ~45000 tracks with a playtime of around 135 days.
There are very few players made with this kind of scale in mind. Few players are even tested with this kind of scale!
Another issue large issue is when your library is this large it tends to be rather diverse, so you have all kinds of tag encodings, formats, and so on. If your collection is small you can just add it, see what the player doesn't handle well, and fix that. But with my collection there would just be too many things to fix, so I have to have a player that more or less plays nicely with everything I have out of the box.
I'll give you an example. I just downloaded Quod Libet. The first bug I ran into is that it thinks one album I have has a runtime of several thousand hours (one song is even 1079 hours). Deadbeef manages to get that album right - each song is only a few minutes as expected.

I do have a good folder structure, but I like being able to easily sort by year, search through tags, search by subgenre, those kinds of things. Basically what a good music player provides.
Deadbeef does work very well for me though, it's as good a solution I can ask for really. The fact that it can work nicely with my library out of the box and has some nice features eclipses the few gripes I have with it (of which none are show-stoppers). I remember Foobar2000 worked very well a few hundred gigs ago (I believe at around 230GB), I should see how it holds up. Every so once in a while I'll run through the available media players just to see if there's anything new or improved that can stand a chance.

I double check the tags of every single archive of music I acquire regardless, including soundtracks ripped from game files. It still doesn't make a damn lick of sense to me to use libraries.
