Is the black one better due to the mesh front?

Is the black one better due to the mesh front?
>>
>>45275639
i think the white one is just the white panel on standoffs in front of the mesh??? its not like the mesh is that big of a deal anyways. your airflow should primarily come in from the top with this case.

> no lime
>>
>>45276148
Uh, it actually exists.
>>
>>45276171
i know. you didn't list in in your choices
>>
The white one also comes with a mesh front.
But to answer your question: yes, the mesh front is better since your air intake is severly limited with the other front. That one has only air incoming through a thin mesh around the front (the black outline in your image).

Does the lime one have a mesh front?
>>
>>45275639
Yes, but be prepared to remove a massive circle of dust every other day.
>>
mesh is terrible
>>
I love mesh, especially since I have cats. I can just wipe the hair off with my hand and dust later.
>>
OP here again

Apparently there's an issue with SLI boards and optical drives in the Prodigy?? Because the card placement clashes somehow.

Is this BS or should I be prepared to use a slimeline drive in conjunction with a bay adapter

Welcome to 2014 grandpa, people don't use that shit anymore.

Bitfenix sells loads of spare parts. I ended up buying a mesh front for my white case as although the solid white panel does have ventilation around the edge it's not as easy to clean out and is more restrictive. I also bought a windowed side panel because I didn't need air holes on the side, if you do then Silverstone's magnetic 2x240mm fan filter fits nicely.
>>
>>45280071
What kind of graphics card is this? Looks powerful (two cables going in), but I don't see bloated fans on it.
>>
>>45280261
It's a liquid cooled R9 290, because it has no fans is the reason I didn't require the side vents. Of course if your card is air cooled they will help instead of just relying on airflow from the front fan(s).
>>
>>45278913
currently using one as a home server/media PC. 3x 2TB in Raid 5... so yea, people still use optical
>>
>>45275639
Depends whether or not you're actually going to take advantage of the increased airflow with a fuckhuge fan. If not, you're probably not going to see a difference and would be better off just getting your color preference.
On an unrelated note, does anyone think the Prodigy will go on sale on BF/CM? Building computers for some friends and they both want the Prodigy as a case.
>>
>>45280348
What the fuck does having 3 hard drives of 2TB in size have to do with optical drives that play shit like DVD and CDs?
>>
>>45280382
Just wait until Friday anyway like I am. Worst case scenario, it doesn't go on sale. Best case scenario, you're saving money.

>tfw hoping against hope for an i5 to drop below $160

>>45275639
The black one is louder and better at sports but the white one works harder.
>>
>>45280384
My thoughts exactly lol
>>
>>45280384
>>45280489
lmao, too early, read that as hard drives.

I retract my statement, Optical drives are indeed useless

They both suck and are retardedly oversized for the mITX board they house, not lastly thanks to the enormous handles.
>>
>>45280538
It will never be worse than the NZXT Vulcan I have now.
>>
>>45280538
You can easily remove the handles. Personally I quite like the amount of space in the Prodigy.
>>
>>45280598
Then why didn't you just get a fucking mATX case you dunce?
>>
>>45280612
Because it's still not as big as a regular mATX. It's kind of in the middle. I also like having the mobo mounted flat.

>tfw luckily you never made it a reality
>>
>>45280612
Maybe he likes the layout of the Prodigy. I mean as far as I can tell, a horizontally mounted motherboard will be much easier to work with in that kind of space that a vertically mounted one. At least that's what my personal experience has taught me.
>>
>>45280631
I had to RMA the fucking thing twice because the case wiring fucking melted, twice. To this day, I have yet to figure out why the case wiring fucking melted. You made a smart choice.
