Okay so long story short, due to some poor timing on the part of my dear old Galaxy Nexus I have to replace my phone on short notice with a tiny budget. My options are something like a used Droid Razr M for $160 or my sister's pink iPhone 5c for free. The only catch with the iPhone is the screen is broken, but I've been told that Apple can replace it for $150 and if not them, a local mall has an iPhone repair shop that'll do it for that much.
Would the 5c be a decent deal at $150?
Cell phones are a waste of money. Any phone will let you call 911 for free, without a service plan, and that's the only reason you'd need a cellphone for anyway.

How is that checkmate? Most of the stuff that's stored on my phone is backed up regularly off of the phone. Even if my phone was lost or destroyed, I wouldn't lose anything but the device itself. And considering how infrequently these sorts of things happen to me because I take care of my expensive things, it wouldn't exactly be the end of the world.
