Hey guys, so today I was deleting everything on my paypal related to my bank that account got deleted. I called to the bank and they told me that they deleted my bank account due to inactivity for more than 6 months with a $0.00 balance. All my debit cards were seized and the bank account was trashed.

>This bank account was solely for buying online.

I had exactly 6.90 dollars left of PayPal balance. I wanted to take care of this balance to leave it at $0.

I went to eBay and ordered some shit worth exactly $6.90. Little did I know they taxed it so it raised to like $7.30. I confirmed the payment and it stated the usual:

>Instant bank transfer from XXXX-666 Bank Name.

I had only 6.90 and the account DOESN'T EXIST anymore. This is not a credit card, it is a debit card with no overdrafting capabilities.

I was 40 cents short and PayPal and eBay accepted the payment.

After noticing this I was curious on what would happen with a bigger amount.

>I proceeded to spend $3000 dlls.

At this point I was expecting the usual "No funds left... etc." message.

>It worked.jpg

What did I get myself into? Should I cancel the order and tell the seller it was a mistake or something and confess everything to the bank?

Again I double and triple checked my bank dashboard and I have absolutely nothing charged (under the dashboard you get several account statements, on mine there are no accounts).

Buy more things with your infinite money supply, sell them at a higher price.
If anything bad happens, you'll be able to cover the costs.
>>
>>42293250
This.

Also, after a while they find out and will mail you stating you need to add fund in order to keep using paypal. I had this with a 100 euro purchase. Woops.
>>
>>42293250
>>42293266

But can I get in trouble [legally?], I have not signed for another bank account, there are no bank accounts under my name. Is this PayPal's fault, the bank's fault? Where does this money come from?
>>
ITT: RENT A HOME
BUY A SHITLOAD OF TECH (razer edge laptops etc) FOR YOUR WHOLE COMMUNITY

>>
>>42293292
I tried to buy something again right now and they are asking me to validate my identity through phone.

Better not :v
>>
>>42293287
>But can I get in trouble [legally?]
Well, at most they should be able to charge you for all your purchases. Can't be sure though.

I'd guess it's PayPal's fault and they'll soon figure out that they can't get the money from the bank.
Which is probably what happened here >>42293335
>>
What did you buy for $300?
>>
>>42293373
$3000*
>>
>>42293373
>>42293382

The first thing I stumbled into that could help me plead demency, and something that I can sell fast... an MBP.
>>
>>42293396

Well OP, its a good thing that you are such a huge faggot, because you will be getting fucked in the ass.
>>
>>42293396
Good thinking actually.
>>
Do you really think Paypal is just going to bend over and let you spend $3000 and they'll just cover the costs?

No, they'll just find a way to cancel the order or they'll send you a bill for the $3000.

Either way, you're fucking stupid for thinking you'd get away with this.
>>
>>42293431
I am not expecting to get away with this, If I have to pay, I will pay. Btw I am not a US resident.
>>
>>42293431
>you're fucking stupid for thinking you'd get away with this
He never said that.
>>
>>42293287
Well, I do tax law, so I'm not exactly an expert, but these things are usually just a bit of a gamble.

If you bought it from an individual he might not have the knowledge on how to get you to pay. If you bought it from a store they will probably do the same thing as with every client who doesn't pay. They probably send you a letter first, then a collection agency They probably don't have a seperate procedure for people like you.

If it ends up in court you probably have nothing to stand on though. If it does lead to that I would just settle it up front and tell the person you bought it from you didn't realize the mistake and pay in a different method.

I don't think they would put any extra effort into researching your case. So chances are you won't get raped by criminal law.

That's my take on it.
>>
>>42293448
>I am not a US resident

Expect the full force of the Anti-Osama squad then, you Nigger Sambo Turrist.
>>
>>42293448
this is pretty interesting. As long as it's money you do have available, it will be interesting how they handle this.
>>
>>42293459
It was from an Individual seller from eBay. I am doing this merely for scientific purposes, any smart person wouldnt get into this kind of raffle not having an escape plan, the worse that can happen is that they make me pay, or they cancel my PayPal account. Since -apparently- the bank isn't involved at all, I called customer support and they told me they cant give me the account's recent activity because it simply doesnt exist.
>>
>>42293459
Additionally: my little brother worked at an online store's helpdesk. And they ignored all cases below 200 dollars to one address because it wasn't worth the effort to chase it.
>>
I'd be very much interested to see how things develop.
>>
>>42293228
>What did I get myself into? Should I cancel the order and tell the seller it was a mistake or something and confess everything to the bank?

Bank fraud you dumbass. Enjoy getting your ass stretched open in a federal pound-me-in-the-ass prison.

Honestly I just wanted an excuse to post the video.
>>
Either way, in case this mac does get into my hands, post with trips get it.

>>
>>42293765
Why wouldn't you keep it for yourself?
Trip just in case.
>>
>>42293782
God damn it you faggot, op has been posting as "not op" during the entire thread.
>>
>>42293228
I had the same thing happen to me when the payment I was sending was more than my bank account's spending limit. The initial fund recognition system is trash, and customer support when I asked about why it sent when it didn't withdraw from my bank was worthless, but it eventually flipped out a week later when it realized the second payment didn't go through and finally deducted it.

They'll probably find you and you'll have to pay, they have your address after all. They'll probably terminate that account too, but I don't think you're too worried about that.
>>
>>42293448
>Not a US resident
Let me guess, international student who just graduated and is moving back to his country of origin?
>>
You'll probably have to pay for what you bought unless you take it to court in which case you'll probably lose and will have to pay much more than that (so don't be a dumbass and pay for what you bought when the time comes)
>>

Well if you're not a US resident you just might get away with it if you never set foot on US soil again until Paypal and ebay go bankrupt

This is the best idea.
Just continuously buy bitcoins until the price falls to like 1$.
You'll be singlehandedly responsible for destroying bitcoin.

>the worse that can happen is that they make me pay
>Pay
They'll skip that and hand it right over to a debt collection agency. They'll then send bailiffs, because they typically make more money that way.
>>
Just so people don't get any ideas, don't try this.

Claiming to own a bank account with sufficient funds which doesn't actually exist is digital check fraud, and PayPal would have plenty of legal options for recourse. For small amounts, they may just ask you to pay if it looks like an accident, but they could easily go much farther much faster if they think you are going to run.
