kek.
Either way, i would use Chromium and remove the privacy offending features.
>>42246409
Chromium. Respects my freedoms more.
>>42246422
Couldn't agree anymore, if I was forced to use one of them.
Chromium. Literally the only difference is the logo, and the Chromium one isn't gay.
niggas don't know about my Chrome Canary.
Neither.

why havent you selected the
1. Enable phishing and malware protection
2.Send a "Do Not Track" request with your browsing traffic
??
> Chromium
> DuckDuckGo as default search engine
> AdBlock
> HTTPS Everywhere
> NoScript
> ScriptSafe

dat true?
Is the ultron joke still funny?
http://ultronbrowser.info/
>>42247260
1. Goes through Google Servers.
2. Tells the ad companies something more about your browser.
>>42246422
>not using something actually good because of a maymay
>>42247265
wow all those security and privacy extensions for nothing.
>>42247068
Those options are probably enabled even if they are disabled.

>>42247260
Do not enable these, most sites ignore 'do not track requests' and it just makes you identifiable. Phishing/malware protection sends your data to servers to check against phishing/malware sites. This applies to all browsers. Chrome, Firefox, Tor Browser, everything.
>>42247351
Do you really think Google would let you disable those?
>>42247501
Yes.
>i have no evidence but it's true

Google Chrome is literal spyware dumbass.

This is not a botnet. Nobody on /g/ knows what a botnet is. A botnet is when a hacker takes control of multiple computers and uses them to achieve a singular purpose. If chromium / chrome did distributed bitcoin mining for googles profit then it would be a botnet. But it doesn't do anything of that sort.
I thought chromium was supposed to be a good open source alternative to chome, so I tried downloading a regular stable version of chromium.
good luck with that.
chromium is not an alternative to chrome, you might as well say "webkit is an open source alternative to chrome".
chrome is a proprietary black box.
chromium is fast as fuck especially on Linux I know that. Love using that with Arch Linux, it's like the pinnacle of browsing for mankind.
>>42247572
OH anoter session of newfag spoonfeeds.
This one was really good.I think the actor skin actually looked BLACK for a minute!
>>42248340
its because linux manages its own update channels, but the only binaries that google distributes are nightly bins with no update feature.
yandex is probably the future of any open source V8 browser.
>>42247572
botnets can be used for spying and derivative of that extortion / theft. This is the analogue associating chrome with a botnet.
Their utility is not limited to stealing cpu cycles and bandwidth.
I'm using chromium because aqua breaks the gtk system tray and I had to patch it to get functionality back.
I dunno when the revision will make it into the chrome binaries.

>Pages broke on Firefox
>Happens more and more often
>Fuck this
>Uninstall

>Use for 1 day
>Uninstall
>Back to firefox
Chrome completely misses the point of a web browser.
Firefox works fine now btw.
>>42247457
>crashed 5 times today
>had been crashing more and more every day
>only gotten worse since Australis
And that's why I joined the botnet.
>>42247572
Well, they do spying for profit (it's not really for NSA, but for advertisers and they pay a lot for your metadata) and give nothing in exchange.
The flash plugin doesn't work on Chromium. Anyone know how to fix it?
I want google to fuck me up the ass.
>>42250753
remove chromium
install firefox
install shumway
>>42250805
>thinking shumway is ready
No. Just... no.
It's getting there, but it really isn't even close to replacing flash itself.
