tfw away from pc
At least I managed to fix WakeOnLan, so I can leave it in sleep mode and just turn it on whenever I need it instead of just leaving it on 24/7

Also have a 4TB WD Red that's waiting to be installed, I can finally rip my PS2 discs and BDs with plenty of room to spare

Hopefully it's not DOA since I don't yet have a matching 5TB external for backup...going to be stressful not having everything backed up. At least the 1TB still works, so I guess I could just throw that in an enclosure and use it in conjunction with my 1TB passport until I get that 5TB...

>>
>>52202761
From an R4 to an R5, you're not likely to notice any difference. You need to ask yourself what a new case can do for you that your current case doesn't do already. If you can't answer that, save the money or spend it on something else. The last time I changed cases was when I decided to have a go at water cooling.

Bought a cheap FM2+ mobo and an A10-7800 for my little brother this christmas. Assembled everything up and I'm getting 60C on the CPU just by being on BIOS. I've tried reseating it twice now.

pic related except mine is two 8 pin connectors with 2 on each separated from the others

Raijintek Metis. Got a new one though, but it's still a work in progress. Just threw it together for some quick cooling performance testing.

And? It's hardly a rare sight, AMD GPUs usually offer the best value for money especially when you get second hand likely mined with cards like me. If you expect me to also have an AMD CPU, I see no reason to other than to match.

inwin is such an inefficiently build case that it forces such lopsided tech choices (gtx 680 + dominator + crappy cooler + 760i)

Find a better mitx case to unleash your creativity. This case is limiting you.

color matched custom sleeving
painting yellow GPU shroud white
get a GPU backplate
design a case decal
possibly get matching SSDs

Build entirely new system at the end of the year. Probably X99 for work and delegate this for gaming only.

While I have picked a new case, I was in no-way limited.

I was reusing a old GPU, it was by no means forced. And the cooler was more than adequate, CPU temps under load never exceeded 60°C, and same for the GPU

The GPU power cables used to have Purple UV reflective sleeves, but one of them wasn't working right so I just kind of chucked the spare ones the PSU came with on and gave up on cosmetics all together shortly after.

Bequiet dark rock pro 3. I don't own an NH-D15 so I cannot compare them. My gut feeling would be that the NH-D15 would be a little cooler but a little louder too.

it's ok it's a work in progress. I originally had two graphic cards on the loop but I had to remove them as lazily as possible. so I removed the clc still intact and drained the liquid to the radiator holding all the fluid in. Then I removed the two blocks and just threw a hose in there to complete the loop.

Everyone here in these threads looks for computer builds like people want look for in porn; clean, shaven, fully lubed, disease free, and more. That ain't me.

I like mine like a beaten whore after stomping on it a few times. She's an ugly sonnabitch but she'll play games without breaking a sweat.

Since I don't want to make a new thread I figure this is the best place to ask about cases.

A while ago I remember seeing a bunch of cases coming out with interesting layouts which seemed quite appealing except that most of them were itx focused and restrictive of what kind of hardware you could fit in them. I'm wondering if there's a case with a layout like the one in my picture that's big enough so that it would allow me to put in pretty much anything but not be too large to put on my desk?

>>52225179
You literally just described the Thermaltake Core 9x.

As far as I know, it's the only one of it's kind that can fit any board.

I am using one right now and it's god damn huge.
