Lads, I'm looking for a facebook machine for my parents no more than 100 euro. Should I buy a used Thinkpad X300 or will it give me headaches even browsing twitter?
Have a free wallpaper in return for your advice, /g/

Get literally anything made in the last decade with Win7 minimum specs, throw an ssd in it and it will do just fine on the internet.

Pretty much anything will do, as long as its less than 10 years old. Hell, I rescued an old P4 with Win XP from the dumpster at work. It was almost unbearably slow, which is why the office manager tossed it. He let me take the rest of it so long as I removed the HD, drilled a bunch of holes in it, and gave it back to him.
I did, and replaced it with one of the old IDE drives I have lying around. I installed OpenBSD and Xfce on it, and now it works great. At least for lightweight stuff like web browsing. It works so well for stuff like that that it's easy to forget just how old it is. I have since replaced Xfce with Fluxbox though, which works even better.
