Sure the chinese don't care about your personal information. You know why? Because they care about something far more important - business secrets.
If anybody installs huawei shit in a business that handles valuable IP or other secret documents electronically, they deserve to have china rip off all their shit and sell it for half the price.
US govt. just wants to know everything you're doing. They're not going to create a cheaper competitor to your business with $0 R&D costs (unless you piss off the wrong people).
Nearly all local mobile operators are now using Huawei or ZTE as their backend.
