How can Apple even compete?
>S7
>Better design
>Better display
>Better battery life
>Better photo camera
>Better video camera
>Better software
>coolness
what in the fucking fuck is that shit? how can you objectively measure """coolness"""?, also apple's software has so many drawbacks that it cannot even be rated
Just upgrade my Z3 to an S7 and looking for the most bomb proof case because I break all my phones
Any suggestions?

a metric gauging how sleek a phone is
completely subjective but iPhones are usually the sleekest phones out
The battery and back are removable on the Galaxy S4, couldn't you just pop a higher capacity battery in, snap a metal/rubberized back on and have a perfect budget phone?

What are Servo and Rust going to do to Firefox in layman terms /g/?
>>55575210
Security, first and foremost.
At least the first few components that will ship in Stable.
Better security and performance. I compiled it to try it out but it wouldn't start so I sadly couldn't try it, not sure what went wrong.
>>55575210
Servo will bring performance and security, while the smaller rust components are mainly for security, I think.
Check out servo's webrender.

The Windows design feels so boring and uncustomizable now,
what are the coolest Windows tweaks out there to make it more enjoyable and maybe even more like gnome?
The coolest windows tweak it format C: and install gentoo.

I think I landed(almost 100% sure) as a computer technician(its spelled as mechanic though) which I think is supposed to be building/chaining parts/diagnosing(using multimeter is the only thing I can think off right now)/and pretty much cleaning/installing/reinstalling OS.While I my high school specialization was exactly about this I still feel really scared about it considering I never soldered anything(not sure if its even done anymore).I don't know if I missed something so please add it so I try and learn/check if know it already it in the mean time.

Almost all of these(if not all) can easily be done and googled if needed.I was wondering about more specific stuffs or thats all? Also the employer was talking about installing linux(which I know how to do at least for ubuntu and arch(and all else are easily googable but am still not 100% sure because they feel so unstable sometimes with their drivers). Also I guess soldering is not needed?
Hey guys. I have to buy new router because old one (D-Link DI-524, 8.5 years, 802.11g) is dying. I'm thinking about pic related. Thing is, my laptop doesn't support ac/5GHz, it has atheros ar9285 card which is 802.11n. It's possible I'll get some device capable of using 5GHz in the future but I'm mostly interested in the present. Yes, I can't afford anything better at the moment.
Would this new ac router give better results than ones that are only supporting 802.11n? Or should I stick to cheaper n?
so you don't have a single ac devices? stick with cheaper n, some of them are like n450 on 2.4 band.
>>55574786
OK, thanks. I was mostly considering this because it's surprisingly affordable, last time I checked ac routers were much more expensive. The difference between them and n is still there though.
Would Asus RT-N12vD be a good choice? Main problem with current one was stability after passing through two walls.
Since I moved everything to a new case, I noticed my GPU fan doesnt work anymore. It never even spins up. When I put the fan speed in MSI Afterburner to 100%, nothing happens. The mini plug of the fan is plugged into the GPU of course
Test to see if the fan itself is working, unplug it, connect it to a 12v battery, if it moves, it's probably the connector on the pcb, if it doesn't, it's the fan.
>>55574785
Well.. I dont have one. And if you recommend using a 9V battery, I dont have one of those either. Is there another way? However, I guess I should go to the mall tomorrow
I just tested it with a battery, the fan itself works but my GPU seems to give the fan only 0.3V. What could be the problem?
