What blender should I get if I want to blend apples, bananas, oranges, etc?
Are all powerful blenders also loud as hell or you can get some soundproof blender?
>>54924017
The UI's a little tricky, but it can do just about anything and it respects your freedom :^)
I got a $25 blender from Walmart. Blending fruit is a cakewalk. Don't get a blendtec or vitamix unless you want the satisfaction of shredding everything in a second.
WHY THE FUCK DOES THIS SHITTY APP KEEP CHANGING THE QUALITY TO 1080P!?

Which one and why?
Sleep for short periods otherwise just turn it off.
>>54923970
Why?
I tend to use both really
>>54923922
For fucking what?
Computers boot up really quick with SSD anyway, just turn off when you really dont use it otherwise keep it on forever.
I am a "mature" filmmaking student and as most of us 80s/90s kids, I default to PC environments. However, I have noticed that most editing positions listed in the media industry work exclusively on OSX and FCPX.
I am familiar with Macs, as it's what's they use at Uni, but they are slower than my machine (even the coffe maker-looking Mac Pros) and Premiere feels sluggier than on PC.
I have been looking to buy a Mac Mini or Macbook and get more familiar with FinalCutPro X as I feel I would be at a disadvantageous position if I were to apply. HOWEVER...

Generalisation. I'm an 80s kid, and I default to Macs.
Your uni's machines may be slower, but there is no appreciable difference when given similar hardware. My rMBP is a superb machine, and I'd recommend them to anyone.
You would be much better off getting a new/used Mac than fucking around with Hackintosh.
What tech channels aren't full of bullshit?
I thought Louis wasn't this short.
le motherboard man
I have avoided "tech" bloggers for my entire life, and only found one I actually liked listening to, and which was insightful. And surprisingly, he mainly talked about Apple products.
What are some good tech channels or blogs that are not full of shit, anonafriends?
What's the best price/performance graphics card for £100 right now?

For mobile or your home internet? If the latter, TPG is available probably everywhere telstra has lines. Go with them.

I'm having a pretty annoying boot issue with my computer
After having upgraded my RAM I've noticed that every OTHER boot takes like a minute whereas the first boot takes seconds. I've tried everything, replacing the RAM, using only one dimm, doing passes in memtest, putting in RAM that I know works in an old system, flashing the bios to a more updated version, switching the speeds of the RAM in the BIOS, and unplugging it and plugging it back in again. nothing works.
I noticed this log in eventviewer though:
The following boot-start or...

Do you have hibernation enabled on your system and are using windows 8 or newer with hybrid-shutdown enabled?
>>54923642
No, and I've also turned off fastboot as well. Running windows 10
I've noticed that every time it takes longer to boot the keyboard also is not detected as well so that I can't get into the BIOS...
>>54923658
You can enable verbose messages to see what's going on during the operating system boot. You can google how to do it or just follow this link:
http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/32477/use-verbose-boot-messages-to-troubleshoot-windows-startup-problems/
Also, enable verbose mode for POST. To do so, find an option that is called something like "Display Logo" or "Full Screen Logo" in BIOS settings and set it to "disabled" - you will be able to troubleshoot your hardware initialization....

Looking to build a mATX computer for gaming. currently looking at the Corsair Air 240 for the case but I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience with it, or similar cases.
How was it to build in, what cooling solution are you using and how is it?
Are there any anons with similar cases that they would recommend over this case, and why?

buy a fractal design define S and install gentoo. Cases with windows are for niggers.
Your welcome.

Honestly, looks good, but I'd prefer something specifically designed for mATX.

That's kinda neat.... I guess? What the fuck is up with the i/o port locations though? Seems to be for some very specific case, a steambox type thingy I assume.
How do I break into the tech journalism industry? I have used pretty much every kind of computer you can buy, and really love gadgets. I just finished my BA in business so I get that side of the fence really well too. Should I start by trying to monetize a blog or youtube channel first?
Maybe try applying for a tech journalist job

Tech journalists don't exist, you're just a shill with a fancier name
Hey guys, I'm stuck with a situation right now, I have a bunch of recorded usbs I used for a smart tv. But I can't seem to watch any of it on my computer.
Is there any way to covert the usb content so it can be read on another device, or will all those movies be unplayable when I get rid of my samsung tv?
>>54923528
You're fucked.
>>54923528
What actually is the problem? what format is the files in? you give us no info here
>>54923586
Smart tvs ask to format the usbs when you first plug them in, so when I plug it into the computer it then asks if I want to format it. I'll obviously lose all the data if I try that so I have no idea.

What have you been through? I'd like to hear your stories and will tell one of mine:
I am still bitter about Meebo.
http://www.meebo.com/
Google literally sniped it.
Everyone I knew was using it. I don't know if it was a regional thing, but it was a service that was ridiculously common and popular at the time; and its disappearance caused a huge fragmentation of services, resulting in a decline in general IM activity.
Happening right at the time when smartphones and tablets became ubiquitous, this was another huge factor in said fragmentation.
>>54923378
Bump for interest.
>>54923378
Use bitlbee. Problem solved
>>54923378
I used meebo a lot. But during its last ~2 years they didn't fix shit with the messenger.
Now using Pidgin with XMPP alone, feels like I haven't lost much
