What are you working on, /g/?
Working on setting up a nice Linux environment to use OCaml to write my language.
>>54944744
Currently learning assembly. More specifically, practicing converting between the 3 number systems used so I can be faster at it.
>>54944776
>assembly
"assembly" doesn't exist
It is possible to have windows compatibility and linux privacy in the same OS?
Yes you /v/tard.
If you looked into it for 35 seconds you would know that it can be done with wine, you fucking video game playing autistic man child.
>>54944760
Linux mint already had a security outbreak according to the sticky.

lookup vga passthrough. kind of an expensive setup but this is literally what you want.
that or use two computers.
There wasn't a stupid questions thread up. So now there is. Ask your stupid questions here. Don't bump, you aren't entitled to an answer.
Remember to Bing Itâ„¢ before you bring it.
Is there a node module that generates qr code png images (base64 strings)?
Pebble time or Moto 360 1st gen or something else?
I like custom watch faces can the pebble do that with any wallpaper I want? What are good apps for either?
Mac or Linux?
A year ago, I read that the driver of AMD GPU on the GNU/Linux, Catalyst isn't stable enough. Is it still true or just meme now?
catalyst is dead now. amd go full open source for linux
>>54944914
Wow! that is great! That means, I can use OpenCL with free driver(as a freedom)? I cannot wait for it!
>>54945006
it's not free as freedom
get Nvidia GTX 1080 instead
Hey /g/, I could use your suggestions.
I've purchased a Sennheiser PC 350 SE, and I'm looking to get the most out of them on a PC. I've heard you need either a DAC or a sound card with a built in amp. I'm not a super audiophile or anything, I just want good quality. That being said, money's not really an obstacle to a point ($100 and under is fine), I just don't want to waste money on overpriced stuff if /g/ knows better options.
Currently, looking at the E10k. The only question I haven't found reliably answered by googling...
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
A DAC is a digital to analogue converter, which turns the bits on your computer into hearable music. Your motherboard has one built in.
Just posting this to clear up some confusion you might have. I know I did when I was buying my first amp.
>>54944516
I'm not sure I understand. What should I be looking for to get the most out of the headphones, then?
>>54944564
>>54944516
Oh, I think I see now, all headphone amplifiers are also DACs, but not all DACs are amplifiers?
Tech companies that make cool important stuff that normies have no clue about

NPX, ASML
Can I become as good as him through hard work?
No. You have to be smart.
>>54944011
But what if I work really hard?
>>54944007
How does /g/ spend their breaks at work?
What is /g/'s job?

>install new motherboard
>windows 10 deactivated itself
>call tech support
>they say there is nothing they can do and I have to purchase a new key
This is some grade A bullshit. At least in windows XP days if you installed a new mobo, you'd just call up tech support and you could do a phone activation. What the fuck, microsoft? Now I have to illegally activate my completely legal version of windows
>>54943309
It's why I want to get a new motherboard before July 29th
Also just use dazloader with Windows 7, upgrade and then clean install
>>54943330
this
dazload win7
it's the only valid way of life
>he used win10 even once
You can get it fixed, type support in the windows 10 start menu and select then ''Contact Support''
This will connect you to a pajeet, explain the issue and they can fix it for you. I had the same thing and got it fixed this way.

MOAR COARS
>>54943208
>moorhuhn
goddamn how did you remember that shit?
I just installed windows 10 as my main OS! Seriously it is the best OS I ever used. I like the design and how smooth it is, I don't know why would anyone use Linsux or and overpriced crap instead of the marvellous Windows 10. Everything works out of the box, fast to boot and to operate and still lightweight enough.
Prove me wrong.
PAJEET MY SON
Working hard today eh?
Also, I don't understand why fags say that windows 10 is not free, I feel free. I can install anything I like, I can disable anything, nobody forces me to use Microsoft software along with it..etc
Stop shilling Pajeet
>he doesn't host his website on his home connection

Why did you fall for the rented server meme?
>>54942381
>Why did you fall for the rented server meme?
when i got one for a one-off $5 payment
its shit, but good enough for hosting my crap
>>54942381
>Why did you fall for the rented server meme?
I don't rent shit, since my alumni account at the university leaves me with free hosting for the rest of my life.
>>54942381
maybe it's because port 80 is blocked?!
Did you hear about that new flash drive?
A 5MB will be available soon and a 300MB SCSI one in the near future but probably around the $6k mark...
This will kick the winchester's butt, totally rad.
>holds at least 10 floppies
How is shit like a $5000 10MB HDD from the 70's in any way "funny"?
Fucking millenials.

Protip: You're not.
Since NoScript is considered now harmful, what is the best alternative? uMatrix? What is the choice of /g/entoomen?
https://liltinkerer.surge.sh/noscript.html
you know you can disable the open newtab to his changelog page in the noscript prefs right
he's been doing the tricks in his page to prevent adblocking for an eternity
someone should point out to georgio that he's directly linking to malware though
>>54941150
I'm sure the Italian bastard knows that. He was whitelisting his own ADS!!! ffs. /g/ should pick a favourite, and the best noscript alternative. and start promoting it. It's absurd so many people suggest noscript and it's also bundled to things like TOR. Send a letter to TOR devs!!!
>>54941178
It's Tor not TOR.
