What are some rare tech and soft pieces which collectors would pay big cash to have, /g/?
Does a Pentium I and II count?
Pretty sure Pentium I and II are practically worthless. Tualatin Pentium IIIs have some value to people interested in building retro gaming PCs, and I think Pentium Pro has some collector's value because there's like a solid chunk of gold on it, but pretty much everything else from the era is unwanted. Too recent to be considered vintage like the IBM in your pic, too old to be good for anything performance-wise.
Yo /v/gbros i got this great deal on a pc, finally pc master race. But the problem is it doesnt play over watch even as good as my xboxone.
This is why i never messed with pc cause it always seems like graphix arent as good and its more expensive. Maybe something is wrong?

Hey guys i need new coding gloves how are these?
That's what hoodrat faggots use
try these, like a true /g/entooman
Don't forget your coding mouthpiece
Case thread ? R8 or H8
That's a nice case, OP. What's the best place to buy one? I'd expect a Nvidia case would be a fantastic improvement to my build, especially for my new GTX 1080- founders edition, of course. You don't skimp on the GPU, OR the case!
>Case alone reaches ambient temperarure
>No async airlow
>Two of these in CFX beat yours for half the price
Stay mad nvidiot
Where were you when the entire windows ecosystem for the past 20 years was owned?
How can I make Linux to look like Windows 3.1?
How can I make the internet to look like 1997?
Hey guys i'm trying to get into coding but it's getting to be really lonely coding
I like it but it's just lonely
What level of coding do you get to before you can code with some friends or people online or something?
What apps have you found worth it to buy?
I've paid for the following, which I've found well worth their cost to purchase.
Office Calculator Pro
IRC for Android
Moon Reader Pro
Camera Zoom FX Premium
FOSS alternatives exist
Jusft get a regular calculator
>Camera Zoom FX Premium
Youo are telling me you seriously paid for these?
Support for the greatest firefox fork ever created has ended. Let it rip in peace.
Suppose I'll be upgrading to firefox-esr, Firefox shitware here we come. I'll be sure to disable you.
Congratulations! You won 5000$ for building your new PC!
Tell us how is it!
>mfw it's only enough for the 32 gb ram version with the xeon.
The built in windows update is always a pain in the ass not to mention it always forgetting things I want to hide like the telemetry updates if I ever need to clear the history and stuff in order to fix it. What's the best alt method so I can at least get some security patches?
Anyone use Rainmeter for their desktop? Looks useful but I heard it's kinda bloated and slows down shit considerably? Idk
I use Rainmeter. Task manager shows it utilizes 2% of my 4790k.
When did you grow out of this fat communist retard?
So /g/, how do I get into IPv6 for my LAN and IoT devices?
It was always buggy as shit when I tried enabling it in the past (not sure if it was my ISP or the modem) so I've always disabled it on my modem and my OpenWRT router. Now I'm reading that it's become more widely adopted. Should I re-neable it? How hard is it to assign IPv6 addresses to my devices? Should the modem be doing this (since all internet connected devices can have unique IP addresses) or should I still use some type of NAT and keep my LAN on IPv4?
>not sure if it was my ISP or the modem
probably not ISP. definitely not modem
>How hard is it to assign IPv6 addresses to my devices?
It depends on how old your devices are
Your modem is simply the point where the ISP meets your home. In other words it is your connection to their service
not to be an asshole since you took the time to reply to this post but absolutely nothing you just said comes even remotely close to helping me or providing any sort of actionable advice
I'm looking at the Lenovo site using the corp discount but the site is so bloated and has awful design. Is there a quick way to compare models, I was thinking of buying a new x260. I really only like buying things that recently came out. I really hate buying used hardware, are "new" thinkpads still worth it. The x260 with 1080p screen is about 856 usd for me.
If you insist, yeah, go ahead and buy one, but you can still buy brand new older models and refurbished ones that are fully upgradeable and will preform way better than the ones you're looking at.
But I don't want a used laptop... And my thinkpad configs end up being 1k+ and I don't even want a desktop replacement. I just want a reliable laptop that will last me a few years, also it feels like I'm playing the lottery with the new thinkpads. Some of them have screen problems (x1 carbon) and headphone dc issues.
