>Buy a Kindle eBook
>Transfer via USB
>Didn't like it, so refunded it
>Kindle never connects to the internet so the book is still there
Am I slowpoking here? This seems like a massive loophole.

Encrypted.
>>55041862
What do you mean? I'm able to read the book.
>>55041876
I think he was referencing the fact that you cannot distribute the book to anyone else, but if that's not your intention, then I guess you did find a loophole. I'm sure they would start to become curious if every book you purchased was returned though. Topping that, why not just torrent your books anyway?
>tfw accidentally malloc'd sizeof(thing_t*) instead of sizeof(thing_t) and you spent 12 hours to track that down
Last time I malloc'd a pointer my compiler gave me a warning
Did you fall for the -supress-warnings meme

Who here uses Minix?
Or as it is now, NetBSD/Minix.
I would if it had support for my hardware
I checked it out in a vm, but quickly nope'd the fuck out of there after I realized THE X SERVER WAS BROKEN (and it was a known issue... in a stable release).
>>55041650
Is the MINIX kernel or userland code worth looking at?
Or is OpenBSD's kernel simple and clean and easy to understand for a nub as well?
What's the best linux OS?

What went so wrong?
Back in 2007, green was the standard color for motherboards and we didn't have these shells for random components with cringing designs that appeal to gamers.
>>55041493
>green was the standard color for motherboards
It still is, look inside prebuilts.
>>55041493
wow that motherboard looks cool as fuck what's it called?

After 8 years of research, I've come up with a great way of getting a well performing pc without having it look like a fucking lightshow for 12 year olds:
Have a non-glass Side panel and put it on your case. I know this might be hard to comprehend, so I'll explain:
Process:
1. Get a case with a non-translucent (no seey throughy) side panel
2. Put the side panel on that case (there's manuals and probably youtube instructions for when you don't know how this works
3. done

Where were you when AMD won the GPU wars?
RX 480 for $200 is better than a GTX 980.
another test showed 3,500
OC it and get 980ti performance

>~1.266 mhz 3500
>~1400 mhz 3700

How are your portable machines dealing with warm weather?
I just built a stand for mine out of LEGOs. Dropped 2°C
Put in fridge
My basement stays cool year-round
970 owners on suicide watch
it's only a taste of what's to come
>>55041321
don't worry, they all own 1080s now.
>>55041321
And? Most people who buy cards are fucking clueless and 970 is still fucking great in their minds. I will still be able to resell my 970 for almost half the price of 1070. I will be able to buy 1070 for a price of some low tier card. Feels good
What business-to-business companies should we all be thankful for?
We pay a lot of attention to business-to-consumer companies because we can readily see the products or software they make - but what about the companies we can't directly see the contributions of, and which do things like reduce costs for the end-consumer, provide logistical services, or do some other warm-and-fluffy things?
errr... ibm?
>>55041383
What does IBM do?
The company I work for. Automatic test equipment.
To list a few of our customers
>any device with resistors/capacitors/inductors(I should just end the list here already)
>any device with wifi
>intel/amd/nvidia
>electric car batteries

>>55041303
