>The time a batch script takes to execute is at least O(n*(n-1)/2) (aka O(n^2)) in the LENGTH OF THE FILE, INCLUDING COMMENTS. The reason is that the batch engine reads the entire file, then executes a line, then reads the file again, then executes another line, and so on.
>It is therefore customary to use a GOTO to skip over sizable comment blocks, so that you don’t have to “execute” them.
Good job Microsoft
it is to make sure no bug is included.
us government still uses 3.1.

This still applies to Windows 10

I can forgive Microsoft for this because in Windows 10, the cmd.exe window is now resizable.

I have a problem with my WLAN and it is pretty fucking annoying. Please help me fix it:
Since a few weeks my connection randomly disconnects (happens about twice a day) and when that happens I cannot reconnect. I've tried different things, but I have to reboot my computer in order for it to work again. Needless to say this is annoying as fuck.
Drivers are up to date and my laptop is the only client with this problem. I literally have no idea.

>>55042579
thanks for contributing. now fuck off.
>>55042579
Yeah the thing I hate about tech is that a lot these retards think that any technology related (I don't know how this works / can someone help me) is the same as someone coming in here and demanding their "personal tech support team."
Anyway, OP, what kind of computer do you have and what kind of router? Is it a cloudbook by chance?
I have a droid turbo 2. Is there a way for me to name my own files instead of the phone automatically naming them?

Hello /g/,
i do have got an idea, but i got no skills to finish it. so maybe if you like the idea, you can spread it or put it to reality.
The Idea:
It is to make an app, where every user can put in the location or the secetion of the train line, where his ticket has been controlled, then you can now, before you board the train, if your ticket will be controlled or not. If many user use it, it will become pretty reliable. so the only thing one has to do, is make an app, where all the train lines of a region are in it, and then implement a voting system, where you can...

>ticket can be controlled
Nigger what are you trying to say?
i am trying to say, how to avoid ticket inspectors

I live in burger land and don't understand trains. Explain further.
Why does Windows have such retarded defaults?
Let's face it, NT is a shit kernel.
>implying anyone who knows anything about computers use windows

I use *BSD and Linux user (used Gentoo for a few years), and know how to write ASM for 6502 and Z80 ROMs. I'm also working on writing my own SNES emulator.
I use Windows as my daily driver because it's good enough and I don't fundamentally care about what OS I use anymore.
>>55042465
explain this to the new guy if possible
>no internet in new apartment
>no problem I'll just use my phone as a hotspot
>speed up to 7mb/s (that's megaBYTES, not BITS)
Do I even need normal internet or a router anymore?

Yes, the ping will be dogshit.
Is this troll bait. 4g data is expensive af

I thought about that, but my ping is usually around 60, which is more than good enough

Sorry grandpa
My reasoning is one machine, one OS. Rebooting just to do a task is a waste of time.
This is why I run Windows these days, even though I'd rather be running OpenBSD. I can play muh games, and I can ssh into muh workstation to do muh develops.
On Linux/BSD, I can do development work (cuz command line), and newer desktop environments are shiny enough to not mind using as a desktop. Only problem is no games. And don't tell me Linux has over 2000 games on Steam. It does, but I'd lose over 230 of the games I actually want to play on Steam if I switched...

I stopped dual-booting in 2008 because at that time I realised I was never playing any games anymore anyway and that I had become a lot more proficient in Linux than I ever was on a Windows system.
