Tell me about cherry MX /g/
Is it as fast as they say and worth it?
>>55585849
They will not make you type any faster.
>>55585857
But will they make me spin around 360 degrees and cut my opponent down with my RYUJIN NO KEN in overwatch?
Is there any point dishing out more money for RGB lighting?
Be honest /g/, why are you even upgrading your PCs?
>graphics stalled and in most cases are going backwards
>games are getting shittier and shittier
Is it because it gives you a purpose? Like working on an old car, fixing it, upgrading it?
I'm truly curious about this, I'd like to have a purpose to.
There's a handful of games. These days it's more about pushing console ports than PC games though.
Because I like to.
Today when I get out of work I have already parts for a living room itx build waiting at home.
Never did a compact build before, should be interesting.
i do more with my computer than playing video games

I'd like to replace my only case fan which is a Noctua NF-P12. My mainboard can't properly control it since it has no PWM which means it's too loud.
My case is fairly small (Cooltek C3) so the fan is wedged directly in between the case grille and the CPU-heatsink (it really touches both).
My question is, do I need a high static pressure fan (because there's restrictive stuff in front of the fan - the CPU-heatsink), a high air flow fan (becase there's no restrictive stuff behind the fan - except for the case grille) or something in between...
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Here's Noctuas description for the different fans
>>55585747
You should use static pressure fans in most cases (intakes and heatsinks and radiators). Use airflow fans only for exhaust, but static pressure fans work too.
>>55585768
To add on, exhaust as in case exhaust only. Not heatsink exhaust.
So, i'm going to bite the bullet and buy a Samsung S7 because i need a new phone, can't wait for the new iPhone and windows phones are currently disappointing with no hope in sight (currently running 925 with W10).
Are there any apps to prevent the google kikes from watching every step i take? like blockers or something? my question is, what can i do to enhance my privacy on Android?
And NO, i don't give a fuck about unlocked bootloaders and shit, so go away with your aspergers and old chink phones.

As long as there are gapps installed you're fucked. Just embrace the botnet, civil war is coming anyway and things will change up significantly after.

It will happen m8. Most likely sooner here in yurop than over there in burgerland.
Can AMD really be THIS delusional?
Yes.
Now eat your breakfast or whatever have you in your part of the world.

>he doesn't have a fx-processor pc for when shit hits the fan and he has to irremediably go amd
The 8350 on release was really powerful.
The downfall was that everything is single threaded and it had too much latency on its cache for gaming.
For computational raw power, it was way better than what Intel offered at the same price.
Anyone have any experience with motorised trail bikes? I'm considering buying a basic 2 stroke 80cc motor kit and attaching it to pic related. I've tried asking /n/ but they've been useless so far.
/g/ doesn't leave its basement.
Try /n/
I'd personally buy a second hand bike with better wheels, forks etc. the build quality on cheap bikes
like this one is poor, the wheels will buckle if you look at them the wrong way.
>>55585584
You want the bike my Dad just made for himself! Pic related.
It's electric, the battery is the large middle section, it goes 50mph (i'm not joking) and the battery lasts hours.
Why not get a good quality second hand bike and then get an electric motor kit?
is 80c an unacceptable temp for a nvidia GPU under load ?
bumping with lain
>>55585576
Please stop posting lain.
It depends on the gpu and your pc in general, as long as it's under 100 it's fine, my gigabyte gtx 680 gets to just under 70 degrees c, but that's with 3 case fans.
If you're not satisfied with 80 degrees, turn up fan speed or add more case fans.

its an 860m its laptop. it tops out at 80c

>retailers STILL list GHz as the primary spec for a processor

Blame intel. Clock speed is literally embedded into the product name
>>55585550
It literally hasn't ever since the Pentium 4.

>Hard drive size is still listed as one of the main specs
>Above the graphics card, battery size, wi-fi type or screen resolution
Like most of /g/ I am sex craved and looking to take my bait to the next level. Google cardboard just isn't cutting it anymore. Is there any particular reason why the Oculus needs 3 x USB 3.0 ports, and could someone explain the importance of a high end GPU for video playback only? I currently have a GTX 750 ti.
i heard u can get away with some usb 2.0s, im not sure
you should definitely google it, or buy a pci-e usb3 hub or something
i think your gpu will be okay for video playback!
the best stuff is going to be 2d anime vr porn, and you're gonna want a good gpu for that
you could get 2 high class hookers for the price of a rift, experience real sex and realize that it's overhyped and overrated.
>>55585525
>or buy a pci-e usb3 hub or something
Yeah that part is cheap. I'm just wondering if I need to spring for a GTX 1060. I may just wait a little while longer and build up my collection or VR happiness.
Are there any good laptops that have good battery runtime I mean like at least 5 hours maybe with a 50% load my HP elite book 8540w battery drains in less then an hour and it's a new battery looking for something that has at least 4-8 GB of RAM.

A mac or something, OP.

You boys know the drill.
1. What is considered a good black depth for an LCD display? Is 0.35 cd/m2 good?
2. What is considered a good contrast ratio for an LCD display? Is 800:1 good?
>>55585524
those are fine, and you should only really care about those specs if you read measurements from independent reviewers, because e.g. a contrast ratio of 3000:1 is most likely a "dynamic" contrast ratio, so that at any given time the contrast might actually be 800:1 but the monitor changes in brightness to emphasize bright/dark scenes in movies and games
Latest test build of sumatrapdf or the last stable one?
