Any recommendations for a good custom PC building service?
As in they let you pick the parts but will build and ship the product for you.
I found this one: http://portatech.com/
I'm aware that I can build it myself, I just don't have the time.
>not going for something as gaudy as pic related
>don't have the time
Just admit you're too retarded to put things together.

this isnt an error they've just decided to make it useless for some reason

Recommend a web hosting company for me for my website. Been using hostgator for the last few years but want to change.
Host it yourself
>>55051457
Don't want to. I have a site that hits 30,000+ hits a week and I don't really care to lock down my server since If I host it it means I have more work I got to do. I want to use shared hosting as it suits my needs and I don't have to worry about bandwidth. For file hosting I use AWS storage for my podcasts and cloudflare.
So what's a shared web hosting that allows unlimited domains, unlimited bandwidth, and at least a 100 gigs of storage. Looking to spend no more than $10 a month.
>>55051650
>shared web hosting
Inferior to VPS hosting and not any cheaper.
>unlimited
means they don't tell you what the limit is, or worse
>AWS
where there really is no limit and you get racked with a huge bill if anyone attacks your site

>Upgrading from an x58 i7 920 to an x58 i7 980x in 2016
I currently have the 920 clocked to 4.20ghz on a noctua cooler. 21c at idle about 35-37c gaming. I was thinking about upgrading my motherboard and processor to compete with the speeds of modern processors as some of my friends have them and games like fallout 4 and bf4 seem to run alot better on a newer processor with similar graphics configs (gtx680 4gb). I love everything about my current setup but its shows signs of weakness nowadays. I eventually plan to buy a 1070 or 1080, maybe...

>That gigantic Northbridge heatsink
you can put together a pretty kickass build for not that much right now, but honestly I'd wait until some more Zen stuff gets released before you make any decisions.
>>55051368
it is kinda obnoxious
i was thinking either a classified board or just the sli 3x
currently have the x58 sli le
the thing of it is the classified is still pretty fucking expensive for a 5 year old board and the sli le i have works fine so idk if i should even upgrade the board. I just plan on oc-ing the 980x if i get it and i dont think this board would handle it very well.
Is this better or worse than Chromium?
https://iridiumbrowser.de/
Its not Murrican, so it should be OK
>>55051248
Does it support Webp?
It's the Pale Moon of Chrome. Chromium is the Iceweasel of Chrome.

I used to use deadbeef as my audio player on Linux. I recommend you check it out.

Use vlc. It's great for audio and videos if you're Not a weaboo or audiofile. Comes pre-installed with every codec you'll need.

why use gnome meme when unity gives you more vertical space and just werks /g/?
It fucking steals my triple tap to middle click because of its ass-backwards gesture support that is not a feature at all. Dev even closed the bugreport as programs that disregard ubuntus shitty gesture system 'choose to provide a shitty experience' or something
Honestly I use Unity on my desktop and MATE on my laptop.
I was under of MATE, but run it with Docky and an Arc theme and it actually looks pretty slick.
My only real gripe with Mate is it uses this stupid idiotic file manager called 'caja' instead of Nautilus, and replacing Caja with Nautilus makes the whole thing feel out of whack.
Caja doesn't theme nearly as well as Nautlius does.
>>55051069
Same thing happens with nemo on gnome. The nemo themes are all screwy for me.
What's /g/'s thoughts on Xubuntu?
My go-to for low-end/older devices. Ubuntu Gnome for high-end/newer.
>>55050691
It's what I usually recommend for people to get into linux
>>55050816
why not ubuntu?
