Generally this. Ubuntu, Linux, and Debian are the three largest distros (I'm fairly certain at least). If a developer extends support to Linux, it is typically for these distros and, in my experience, seem to work the best for.

I have a 290x 8GB right now with a 4k monitor and some newer games I have to either tone down the graphics or lower the resolution to 1440p. Would the 490X be good enough for 4k gaming? I was thinking either that or saving up for a GTX 1080.
the 480 will do very well for 1440p. if you want to pay almost double for similar performance, get a 1070. A 1080 for 1440p would be slightly overkill for the price but meh. it's your money

i had it. used it for world of warcraft. gave me a ton of macros available. its easy to pick buttons, and eventually just comes down to feel and location. it was good.
the shit part was it died otu after a few years, like most all razer products. id like another one, but the cost isnt worth it in my book. you could probably find somethign similiar for cheaper.
