Are sound cards memes?
No, but they're shitty value for money for most typical consumers.
>>55129990
They would only be worth it if you created audio and used a low-latency kernel.
Back 20 or so years ago? No. They were essential.
Now? Yes. On-board will handle most shit just fine. Now, if you have a fancier setup or work in the music industry and need specific ports, no, it isn't.
Which one does /g/ use?

On my GNU/Linux system, more specifically Ubuntu GNOME, zip files are unzipped natively!

Hi fellas, how does Tor work? Can I browse internet, for example (wikipedia/4chan and whatnot) without any problems, yet anonymously?
>>55129089
You can lookup Tor on wikipedia, with proxy enabled to anonymously fuck off.
I'm pretty you're not allowed to post on 4chan from Tor. Tor works well with TAILS if you want to get the most out of it. Mostly because of all the tools that come along with TAILS. You can assume relative anonymity with TOR.
It doesn't make sense to use Tor unless you're doing something shady. For general web browsing, it's completely unnecessary unless you live in a communist state.
What if Apple File System (APFS) becomes the main file system for Linux, replacing ext4?
APFS contains most of the good features in ZFS, and is specifically designed for SSDs.
In addition, Apple promised to release detailed specification for others to write their own drivers for APFS.
autists won't switch from ext4 until the next best thing has been in production for a decade

Why are big monster cases so much more popular?

What parts can't you fit? Few people use more than one graphics card.
I have a 290x, why should I upgrade? Why AMD does not release a 490x?
>I have a 290x, why should I upgrade?
No one here knows or cares.

There's no reason to. Just enjoy the fact that a card you bought back in 2013/2014 is still relevant. If you bought it later than that then lel

Nvidia

Hmm I wonder why AMD hasnt produced a high end chip against someone they cant compete against
Does the government maintain an archive of every website that you visit and all the information that you send on the internet?
So logs of all your chats, porn habits, shitposts on 4chan, etc.
Do they only do it for people on a 'list'? What do you need to do to get on such a list?

Yes, pic related.

No, they do it to all traffic they encounter. No one is exempted.

They do.
Got mine recently, and it's amazing.
Can someone that knows what they're doing take a look at this script and figure out why it doesn't work anymore/how to fix it?

nah.
It seems like it's unable to get the most recent post numbers. Probably an easy patch for anybody that knows a thing about making scripts.

Only 1% of /g/ are shitspewing tinfoils, so this is hardly a revolutionary concept.
But i can do all of the above with my freedoms intact.
Hey /g/, I'm back again. I had a thread the other day here about GPU upgrade advice (I had the 2 crossfired 7870s). Well they actually both just sold on eBay, so I need to go out and get a card today. So I was looking at "deals" at a local shop (microcenter if you care to follow along), and found some R9 390s. My question is which one should I go with? I'll list them below, any advice you could give me would be great, as, with a few of these, I don't completely understand the difference in price.

Will AI ever replace real love? Even in the future if we accept artificial beings as real?
Some humans can certainly come to love an AI program but I doubt that AI programs can love a person. I think love is an evolutionary developed emotion and as far as I know, humans are unable to form mathematical models of this emotion that we call love.
>>55124368
Not now. In the far away future if we surive
When I was young I fell in love with an anime character. But there's something to be said about a real person writing and acting their personality and emotions.
All it takes is for you to enjoy the personality and to some extent the physical appearance.
The human body can't distinguish real from robot. I mean, yeah you know it's a robot but it's shaped like a human and that's all you need to get a boner. That's how come anime works.
Nothing more embarrassing than self-identifying gamerz, but if you choose the right products, is Razer an alright consumer electronics company? I bought pic related yesterday sort of on a whim because I had a gift card for Best Buy that I was probably not going to use for anything else and it was on sale for half price (CAN$60). I looked it up on my phone before buying it and generally the reviews were good, but now that I've delved deeper into customer reviews, I'm seeing that this device may be cheap garbage that won't last more than a couple of months. Furthermore,...
