What's the best Linux DE and why it is XFCE?
...No, really, why? XFCE isn't even very good.
Xfce is fine. It's simple, lightweight, customizable, and feature-complete. And the project has the discipline to recognize that and not refactor everything or pile on features just to be doing something.
So my Motorola Moto G has been fucking up really bad lately to the point where there's little space and my settings keep resetting to silencing my phone and causing my screen to dim quicker.
Now I'm trying to transfer all my files to my PC and it won't connect anymore to my laptop but will still charge.
How can I fix this? Pic related
Earlier today I downloaded an iso that I was going to dd onto a usb stick. I made a typo and dd'ed over my main hard drive.
How fast did you notice, and ^c process? Also, if you didn't at all, you only fucked up <size of iso from start of drive> (unless you was using seek, which I don't think you was).
Anyway, testdisk to the rescue.
How is this different from IRC?
is this even still good now days?
This bendable smartphone transforms into a smartbracelet.
What does /g/ think about Ubuntu Mate?
Absolute favorite. I am not a linux pro but have been using it for a few years and have tried every DE that is in the repos. Stuck on MATE. It just works and stays out of the way. Also isn't a terrible resource hog.
Are there any proper equalizers that work on ubuntu?
I've tried jack but pulseaudio seems to conflict with it and hog audio devices even after killing it.
it's what I've been living with so far.
It doesn't do limiting or anything.
Just do it in hardware. All you need are some filters, I'd use active filters but you can get away with RC filters if you're cheap, and some amplifiers with an adjustable gain I'd do something that can swing between some gain <1 and >1. Stick an emitter follower on the outputs if the amplifier to drive more current unless your audio setup uses high impedance speakers.

What the fuck is this?
are we the 'cool' guys now?
i literally have the same computer. do you find this to be true in your case?
Thin laptops are flimsy and feel like cheap chinese shit. And news flash, they literally are.
Selling less for more. More really is less now.
Good pc build for gaming, rendering and videos at 1080p 60fps? http://pcpartpicker.com/list/RLYjXH Also missing Nvidia GTX 1070
Literally nothing matters except for your core count.
Also, an i7 is a waste of money. Buy a Xeon E3 if you care about money. Certain Xeon E3 models are cheaper because they have no iGPU, but are otherwise identical to i7s.
Buy a bunch of sandy bridge Xeon E5s if you actually give a shit about rendering. Otherwise enjoy wasting your time.
That, or get a real GPU and buy Octane Render for max keks.
How do botnets exist nowadays now that Windows is harder to exploit and that most PCs are behind some sort of firewall. Remember the days of RXbot, SDBot, Modbot, Zeus etc?
>leave for work this morning at 8am
>PC was windows 7, put it in sleep mode
>come home at 5pm
>PC is now windows 10
I thought the Microsoft botnet NSA shit was a meme? Should I decline this or what? I'm kinda spooked atm
