Should I be worried?
If you are one of those idiots who login to stuff using a proxy, then no,depending on the proxy service you use maybe :^/
If you are the kind that uses four letter passwords
logins from public computers then yes
I wanna buy a cpu + gpu + motherboard combo but i only have $300, what chances do i have?
I was thinking about either i3 6100 and gtx 750 ti
or fx 6300 and gtx 750 ti
and some shitty cheap mobo
Do you care about resolution beyond 1080? From what Ive seen on 4K I am not impressed. So I cant even imagine the LG 8K TV.
For now I think 1080 is fine and pay more for something you may or may not notice isnt justified.
Of course. I'd rather have pixel density higher than my eyes can detect and this depends on the screen size in relation to the viewing distance as much as the resolution. 1920x1080 would be insufficient for everything else than some mobile screens in my experience. 4K is lovely for TVs and computer monitors but doesn't entirely hide the pixel grid in all cases. For VR 8K would be extremely cool.
Post yout best bash trick.
Can be an unknown tip/command/shortcut, whatever useful and time-saving.
Avoid "muuuuh sl -> tchoo tchoo" (and it's not bash and it's useless)
Example : ctrl+alt+"." -> argument from last command. Press "." again for older commands
Old bread is almost kill.

Does network traffic coming from the internet get routed to the computer based on the internal IP address or the mac address?
I would assume the internal IP address but if so, how come cloning someones mac address on your network can start causing shit to happen?
Probably best to check connections then.
Otherwise start eliminating components. Or it could even be a restart from your temps being too high, but you probably would have mentioned that.
W10 download probably isn't doing it, but to be completely assured, you could look up which updates to delete and stuff.
How do I grab and compile someone's twitter posts and replys?
Any /g/ays living in Japan? How do you deal with hardware being fucking expensive here? Is there any way to find parts that aren't basically 150%-200% more expensive than the same parts in US stores?
Changelog: Bug Fixes
I've been researching for hours and I can't find a solid answer. What is the best screen protector that /g/ usually uses?
you see, when youre carrying a 5.5 inch screen you'd PROBABLY want to protect it your investment from wear and tear from daily use. if that is just a thing a clumsy autist such as myself would do, at least a lot of people see it as common fucking sense
What terminal emulator do you use and why?
I use st ( http://st.suckless.org )
I use it because its less bloated than other terminals and doesn't use annoying configuration Xresources.
It has all the functionality I need, without any of the unnecessary bullshit. It's faster, but still renders reasonably correct.
I tried using st but stopped when I couldn't even scroll up.
Is there anything similar in structure to Codecademy to learn Java to its fullest? I would just use Codecademy itself but its Java lessons only go as far as the basic class - and as Java is in such high demand I reckon it to be one of the most important to learn as far as versatility, possibly turning it into something more than a hobby.
So tell me /g/uys, is there another interaction based program for learning Java, or will I just have to stick to YouTube? (If the latter, how long would it take to fully grasp with a mid-range attention span?)
>All A's top 5% in highschool
>scholarship allows you any pc under $2000 >must be prebuilt from common venders
I'd say pic related. Anything better?
Is C++ still relevant or they just use this because they are too lazy to use new systems instead using the old ones with makeshift layers?
Well if someone wants to develop a modern application for desktops they probably will use C# for it or if they want to touch the mobile platforms they will use this again or Java.
There isn't really another reason to use C++ besides taking care of the past.
Now you can say there is QtCreator but it is dying Microshite is taking over. Visual Studio is the main thing nowadays. Even who works with C++ will use...

why is design getting worse and worse, less informative and less intuitive as the years go by
there's zero consistency in button placement or function, anything resembling a "standard" has long been murdered in favor of stupid shapes and guesswork ui
im fucking tired
I have $200 to use at the Apple Store. I dont need a new computer, I enjoy my Moto X Pure way more than an iPhone, and I have a tablet.
