It comes with one of those USB infrared dongles. The only prob is that you can't game on it but I don't game much on my PI anyway.
The most powerful programming language is Lisp. If you don't know Lisp (or its variant, Scheme), you don't know what it means for a programming language to be powerful and elegant. Once you learn Lisp, you will see what is lacking in most other languages.
Unlike most languages today, which are focused on defining specialized data types, Lisp provides a few data types which are general. Instead of defining specific types, you build structures from these types. Thus, rather than offering a way to define a list-of-this type and a list-of-that type, Lisp has one...

You know what I can't stand. Programmers claiming superiority and saying that their language is the best yadayada.
You are only a true programmer when you respect other programmers and their preferred language. You should try different types of IDE:s and languages if you have the will and time sure..
Perhaps people are stuck in a environment where you are forced to write code in a certain language. Claiming that they are retarded for not having the time is only making you look like the fool.

Everyone seems to be into the redmeme, how does it work for VR?
And will it support the new standards Google are introducing by the end of the year?
t; linux user wanting to try Windows 10 on his x201.
Is there any fucking way to get Trackpoint scrolling and middle click to work? Seriously, this shit works out of the box on Linux.
I can't in good conscience assist someone in violating their software freedoms.

cute post
did you think of that one all by yourself?
MS vs Google. I was thinking about which company is more evil, and imo Google edges it.
Granted I'm not that invested in MS since giving up on their OS, but aside from the aggressively pushed telemetry updates, which is really shameful, I have a feeling they are doing some great work recently opensourcing stuff and supporting developers. Maybe it is just part of the strategy, trying to remain relevant in the commnity.
Otoh it seems, Google really just wants to become a big advertising botnet. Search is still best in class, and most of us is stuck with a Google...

does anyone have any good stylish themes for firefox? i'm looking for a really minimal and thin one with no clutter.
As an FYI, you can create a userchrome.css file in your Firefox profile directory and just edit it there. The extension is only for convenience and quick switching.
why not make your own with css?
when it comes to customization don't settle for what other people find attractive and usable.
post your firefox mates

How does /g/ handle browser fingerprinting? Is there a realistic way to defend against it? (besides browsing on a pristine virtual machine every time)
What if it becomes the No. 1 tracking method?
VMs aren't a terrible idea. Realistically, though, we're going to have to start changing our habits rather than changing our software. Be selective and sparing in the choice of websites you frequent.
Spoofing your user agent is pretty much the best solution, isn't it?
>>55185995
That's only one of many identifying characteristics that are included in a browser "fingerprint."
iOS 10 recognizes bands inside iMessage. Peeking reveals music and information.

What if they are written in lowercase letters? What if some text written in lowercase letters happens to be a name of some song/band?

it'll just be underlined and lead to the band info probably

Why do old people not read messages on their computer?
They're scared of the messages.
they can just ask one of the youngsters instead.
have it talk to them
Just installed Manjaro. What is /g/'s opinion on it?

not gentoo/10

People are gonna shit on it for not being Arch.
Just werks for me.
I installed the i3 fork and it was the only distro I have tried so far that had working multimedia buttons, Bumblebee setup, a decent basic rice to work with and customize to your needs.
The hardware recognition tool that comes with it is really useful and does all the work for you.
How do I make a custom screensaver that isn't just a glorified slideshow? Something dynamic or procedurally generated.
Try using programming
Try installing gentoo
