Why aren't APUs more popular?
They provide pretty great performance both as a CPU and a GPU, for the price. Instead of buying a gaymur laptop for high performance you could buy an APU laptop and be done with it for a quarter of the original cost. A10 pretty much is enough for anyone's computing needs
Why aren't they popular?
>>55189582
What's the difference between an APU and a CPU with an integrated graphics chip?
Aren't most Intel CPU's APU's in that regard?
>>55189582
Because the cpu side sux. AMD Zen should change that. I currently run a i5 and If i needed a cpu right now it would still get an intel. Hopefully Zen comes out this year so I can upgrade.
Modular is more easily upgradable and dedicated graphics still blow them out the water. I see the potential in laptops but there isn't much in desktop.
>Q: What about Python? I heard they worked hard in v3.3 to support Unicode better.
>A: Perhaps, they should have done less and the support would have been better.

Python 3 isn't even utf-8. It uses fixed-width strings with characters that are 8, 16, or 32 bits wide depending on what's in them so lookup is always constant time.

You say that like it's something to be proud of.
What search engine is /g/ using?
Trying to use one other than google, bing, and other botnets
Is pic related good?
>>55189373
Bing because they give me free money and it's GOAT for porn.
>>55189373
I use Searx.me, but I used to use Qwant which is also acceptable. If you're German, try MetaGer.

The fucking arduino IDE forces you to use spaces, i hate it.
Are there any major software projects that use spaces instead of tabs?

Windows source code
Time to upgrade to Windows 10 freely is running out so I'm thinking of biting the bullet and actually going for it. Windows isn't my primary OS anyway, but I like to keep an up-to-date install just in case I need it.
My question to you all is what's the best way to get rid of all the spyware features like trigonometry, keylogging, etc? Extra points for open source solutions so that I can check that they ain't malware..
>trigonometry
kek
>what's the best way to get rid of all the spyware functions like trigonometry?

Ahh, that's the helpful /g/ we know and love.
I started out last year as a programmer in a pretty big corporation and now a year and a half later I no longer code. I only sit in meetings and am considering killing myself on a daily basis.
Just wanted to let you know that there is no hope. Everyone can learn to program but the vast majority are retards like Pajeet or some feminist affirmative action cunts who have no passion in engineering and are just trying to survive by fucking everything up as little as possible to not get fired before the next pay check. Everyone gets a chance but there are too few really good...

I have good experience with SCRUM though. (not a proffesional yet though, but I've seen the guys at PopCap do it pretty good)

How do people learn to write professional looking C++ code ? Is there a template how to create directories full of stuff I'm not aware of?
>>55189244
>professional looking C++ cod
Could you give examples?
>>55189269
I'd guess no
>Is there a template how to create directories full of stuff I'm not aware of?
Companies sometimes make their own templates.
Here's how google writes Java for example.

Is it worth getting these for helicopters in ARMA 3 and using Emacs?
>you need pedals to use emacs
>>55189740
You do
>>55189213
Arma3 helicopters are not worth those input devices. Besides those are fucking buttons, you need analog sticks and paddles. Stick to mouse and keyboard.
Hello /g/, im new here and i am also new with pc building and was wondering if a nice non memeing fellow could overview my pc partpicker build and give me feedback on if it will be decent enough to play vidya and if the parts are compatible, thank you for your time
Partpicker link-->http://pcpartpicker.com/list/ZxK6hq
Haha lmao :^)
>>55189155
Don't bother building that. What's your budget?
>>55189182
Like 700 max, im just trying to build something i can play smoothly at mid settings :^(
my laptop's keyboard automatically types the letter i over and over again as if someone were holding the key down.
The keyboard doesn't work properly, so I use an external usb keyboard. It happens whether or not I have the external keyboard plugged in. Is there any way I can disable the laptop keyboard? The only thing I can think of is uninstalling the driver but this would make any keyboard unusable
Don't post laptop specs or anything. Good job, faggot.
Post a pic of your device manager.
>>55189069
Have you tried popping out the i key and cleaning the contact?

My Samshit SSD died after a couple years and I need a new one. I was under the impression that Samshit were pretty good at SSDs, but I guess not. Was I unlucky or should I go for a big brand again? There's a cheap 240GB one by Integral right now and it's tempting.

I want to know how many years it had too
